Re: capitalism vs communism
In my opinion, pure communism which was barely mentioned by Karl Marx at the end of the book as an utopy is a default failed system. There is no incentive to improve, better oneself or the living situation because the competition is killed on the basic level. Also, the more one depends on the community the less freedom one has. The thought alone disgusts me. That said, capitalism is failing in the sense that the control mechanisms on the global level are non existant. The way it is going right now, we're heading towards a human made apocalypse.

Re: capitalism vs communism
i believe there can be innovation and creativity and "friendly competition" between people living in a communist land. The art of wanting to explore and learn more and build towards a future isn't rooted to wanting to be "better" than others and actually capitalising on the misfortunes of others and having a monetary reward system in place that promotes class systems based on material gain. Also you won't have less identity or individualism or freedom just because you don't have the ability to brag about your monetary wealth/status in life Incentives will be: contributing to the community and thus having a deeper sense of community (less psychosis, less depression, less violence, more harmony - more spirituality - more connectedness - equality)

@ElGunner
Do you think current CPP regime in China is communism? Also, your view of humanity is too idealistic Most people are a bunch of lazy a-holes when left alone. They try to live on by doing as little as possible because there is no real incentive in communism for them to give more than minimum effort. The biggest fiels experiment was Sowiet Russia. Also, party members were "more equal" than other equal people. They were corrupt fuckers.
