No the humour I find is that Harmonica will defend something completely irrelevant to his footballing game but that is dedication I suppose.

I actually find Messi has grown well into his face compared to what was an awkward looking visage in his early years.

me personally, i never got the criticism toward's Messi's looks i've always thought he was a decent looking fella, even in his younger years. The beard certainly makes him look more like a GOAT that he is and a GOAT of a man as well.

Wow, this kid is THAT Haaland's son? Good to hear, and congrats to his dad and him to raise him to be this good. Always felt sorry for the father, although I read it wasnt fully Keane's fault his career ended due to injury I think? But still, it was a horrible act.

I’m not as familiar with Haaland as I am with Ødegaard. The latter is from Drammen. I occasionally watched him play for my local team, so I’ve been able to follow his progress. We also have mutual acquaintances, and I was even able to talk to him once. He’s not just some footballer who happens to be from the same country, he’s closer to home, quite literally. 

I’ve rated his talent since the first time I saw him play. I always thought he’d go far, purely based on his exceptional vision and passing ability, already as a 13 year old. That he’s added ball control, athleticism and dribbling to his repertoire since then, has only made him a more promising prospect. I had my reservations regarding his potential, initially, as I’ve traditionally not expected typically technique-lacking, physique-oriented, Norwegian players to amount to anything worth mentioning, let alone some kid from my local club - but again, his natural talent just seemed overwhelming to me.

I never paid much attention to Haaland, despite him making the news frequently, ever since he came into the local spotlight while playing under Ole at Molde. The first time I heard about him was when Molde played against Brann, who at the time were praised for having the strongest defense in the league, and were leading the league with hardly any goals conceded. I believe Haaland scored a hattrick (or a brace)against them as a sub. I figured it was a fluke, I’d never heard of him before and he was just some teenage substitute. Then, he scored 9 goals against Honduras and he hasn’t slowed down since. Despite all of that, I assumed he was just another tall, slow and clunky, poor man’s John Carew. I’m happy with how both of them are performing, but if I have a bias towards anyone, it’s definitely Ødegaard or «who? Who? WHO?!» as Harmonica likes to call him.

Messi looks like fully grown men will rub him on the head and say how's it going sport when he's 47yo.

Also when you look at haaland you know he's Norwegian. Only 2 people I know who you can just look at and say that guy is Norwegian. The first one is Norway nick the Madrid fan and this guy.
