Erling Haaland
It’s time we talk about this kid.
19 years old, 6 Champions League goals in 3 games. Also 11 goals in 11 games in the league campaign for Salzburg.
Norwegian.
Where does he go next season?

Re: Erling Haaland
XD
In all seriousness, I don't see Hawland staying at Salzburg who have a great team. Halwalland has amazing movement and Howlland has been proving it since the start. Hauwlland is at what? 20 goals in 15 games? Even in the LFC match, the position Hawulland got into trouble Matip and VVD by a great margin. I really have high hopes for Hoelland but I really wanna know how to spell his name properly.

Re: Erling Haaland
I always thought it was Haaland, to be honest just googled him and found out it was Håland. Erling Braut Håland. And yes, Braut sounds about as silly in Norwegian as it does in English. I don’t know all that much about him. I think I saw him play once for Molde under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and his distinctive name is all I remember from it. He’s been mentioned in the media here quite often recently. He seems to score even when he isn’t trying to do so.
Genk has a midfielder that I’m more familiar with, Sander Berge. I rate him quite highly, but he probably won’t get anywhere near the same amount of exposure while playing for a team like, Genk.

Re: Erling Haaland
Didnt know Berge was in Genk
Used to watch him at Ullevål playing for Vålrenga 3 years ago. My mate had worked for the club and got me tickets some times, pointed him out. It was clear he was head and shoulders above everyone else.

I actually know his older brother, who’s a basketball player Yeah, Sander is a quality player. He’s been described as «Matic on drugs». I’ve always thought that he would benefit from putting on some muscle, but whenever I watch him play he seems to be able to shield the ball and hold off opposing players quite well despite his lanky frame. At only 21 years of age, he’s a very exciting player. If the rest of our national team had been anywhere near the standard of Ødegaard, Håland and Berge, we’d.. probably still be coached by an old Swede who likes to park the bus

Re: Erling Haaland
I’m the only Norwegian left on this forum, as far as I know I’ve always rated Martin Ødegaard. He possesses exceptional talent that simply cannot be taught. Sander Berge has potential, but as of yet, it’s only potential. I don’t know much about Håland, but his movement and finishing have both been very, very good whenever I’ve watched him play.
If he keeps it up, I’m sure he’ll have elite alternatives to choose from if he decides to move to a different club. He would benefit from the fact that there’s a high demand for young and talented strikers, and there seems to be so few of them these days. His dad played in the prems and I believe he was born in England as well, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s his next destination. The three of them stand out when they play for Norway, because they’re the youngest as well as the most naturally talented players on an otherwise aging and largely mediocre team.
For some reason, we have a wave of naturally talented players under the age of 23 right now, but apart from those 3, the other ones don’t look like they’re likely to ever amount to anything worth mentioning on here. I am keeping tabs on the likes of Martin Samuelsen, Kristoffer Ajer and Mathias Normann, though. I think those 3 have great qualities, but there’s a lot of room for improvement if they ever want to shake off the «promising youngster» tag. Sometimes talent isn’t enough. I’m a big fan of Martin Samuelsen, and he was loaned out before getting a single minute of playing time for West Ham despite being more technically gifted than anyone else who’s in their regular starting XI.

Re: Erling Haaland
I doubt he will be cheap, and the likes of both Liverpool and PSG are reportedly interested in him, which if the reports are true, might push his price tag up even further. Ole might persuade him to choose Man United. Then again, Ole might not stay for very long and it would probably be wiser for him to pick a club with more stability. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next summer.

Re: Erling Haaland
Truth be told, he was my bargain buy in UCL fantasy football and boy, this kid is making bank for me. Actually watched him yesterday and he looks like a good prospect for clubs not named Real Madrid.

That’s basically what I think of when I hear the name. Braut doesn’t mean anything in Norwegian as far as I know, but it sounds a bit like «brøyt» which means to plow

Re: Erling Haaland
Started on the bench due to having just returned from an injury. Is brought on for the last 28 minutes. Quickly gets an assist, then scores a legit goal that VAR somehow rules out for too much physicality/wrestling with his marker. And of course, ends the night by scoring his 8th Champions League goal.
I don’t think Salzburg will advance far enough for him to realistically even consider becoming the top scorer in the competition this season, but he’s certainly had an explosive start to his CL debut.

As much as I admired him during his prime, the guy in your signature isn’t exactly a looker either

Ribéry was in an accident as a small kid and was scarred badly. You should be ashamed of yourself for bringing it up.

Re: Erling Haaland
Would take him at Juve, ugly and all, maybe also sign Giroud as a back up to compensate for the team looks.
Would be perfect for him to explode (even more) by eliminating Liverpool from the CL in 2 weeks.
