Re: The 19/20 Europa League Thread
Regarding our group. I'm reasonably ok with it, but I think it does hold some hidden peril. BMG are obvious the strongest of our 3 opponents, but I'm not sleeping on Basaksehir. This is the club that produced Cengiz Under. They have talent and playing them away will probably be a tricky fixture.
I know nothing of Wolfsberg (Austrian apparently), but we don't seem to do well against Teutonic sides in general so it wouldn't surprise me if they give us trouble, especially away from home.

There are quite a few competitive ones, I'd say. Lazio's group are pretty close together. I'd also say the one with Besiktas, Braga and Wolves is another competitive group as well.

Hazard winning the UEL player of the year has to be the biggest evidence of the power of big clubs on the UEFA. He played like 30% of the games and only scored and assisted in the final. Unbelievable lobbying which will just go unnoticed because it's normalized.

Lol legit forgot we were in this competition. Astana and Partizan Remember them as feeder clubs in FM who used to propose yearly friendlies and used to ask for gate receipts from those matches.

Glad we didn't beat Chelsea in the final last season actually because we would have been the worst CL team ever.

We have Istanbul Basaksehir tomorrow at home. On paper, we should be winning this easily, but we've honestly never played them before and they've been on the rise in Turkish football so this one might not be as easy as people think (and frankly when it comes to Roma, it never is).
Also, this is the club that gave us Cengiz Under so both this fixture and especially the away one in Turkey will be extra spicy for that reason.

Eintracht will probably lose, but they are doing surprisingly well vs Arsenal so far.

Re: The 19/20 Europa League Thread
Both teams are leaving so much space for each other and should have had a couple of goals each. Martinez has made some crucial stops.
It's a good example of why Arsenal are a bad defensive team. The individuals are actually doing okay, but as a team they're too stretched vertically which means the opposition can play a lot on the edge of their box.

I am surprised. they sold/loaned out all their attackers and their attack was their thing last season.

Saka tho. The most talented kid coming through at Arsenal atm. Plays with a lot of control for a young winger.

Lol, yeah they sold all of Jovic, Rebic, and Haller didn't they. Games will end 0-3 instead of 3-3 now

United have been on top. Astana have had a couple of promising counters, but their forward lacks pace.

Yes. Put some respect on Astana's name pls. Rukavina and Postnikov walk into your starting 11.
