Quote me in May 2022. Don't @ me before then.
The way things are going, Tammy is going to score 15 goals this season, at least.
He has shown enough all round quality for Lampard to keep faith in him, and goals will come. Even if he hits bad form for a while.
So assuming he doesn't get injured, he'll play 30+ games more this season and scored at least 15 goals.
That is enough to keep him at the club next season which will be the deciding season, imo. If he keeps his spot over whoever we sign, then I think he'll make it, if not, he'll be a decent squad option at the least.
Also, The difference between him and Michu, is age. Tammy is still young and has been improving every season, almost every loan has been a success and his goal numbers have been consistant. Michu was an utter flash in the pan.

Since Chelsea shouldn't be direct competition for us this season I'm really happy for both Abraham's and Mount's great starts to the season. Chelsea have been such a demoralizing club for young players to try and break through at for so long that it's good to see this happening.

Stones out for 5 weeks. This is literally make or break for both Liverpool and City.

I firmly believed before this season began we will win the Premiership, finally and will not sway even if we lose our next game.

Chelsea are an average team that is being carried by unproven players. Why shouldn't Valencia beat them?halamadrid2 wrote:How in the world did Valencia manage to beat Chelsea

Pep will find a way. The guy will play Fernandinho or Walker in central defense and they will get the job done with minimum fuss. They have pretty straightforward fixtures as well till November.

they were thoroughly outplayed from start to finish. Had like 2 shots on target all game. They would've been lucky with a draw nevermind a win.BarrileteCosmico wrote:Chelsea are an average team that is being carried by unproven players. Really important to see Avg value of a signing as well here. Wenger is at 9m per signing while Pep is at 23m.
Benitez and Emery there kinda come as a surprise but yeah Benitez did spend at Liverpool but he sold quite often as well.

It's always going to be skewed towards more recent managers due to the recent price inflation.
I'd be more interested to see if all of those managers are still there if it's adjusted for inflation.

SAF would have to be up there just due to his tenure, Wenger too.

Yeah, and all the Rooneys, and Ferdinands, and Verons would be 100m+ transfers today

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter I
I'm not at all surprised that Klopp isn't on there. A lot of people seem to forget that the last club he coached was a Dortmund team that was known for developing youngsters, rather than spending on established names. All of the other managers on that list have coached more than one club with a competitive budget.
If there's anything I've learnt from reading the internet's opinions on managers, it's that the vast majority of people seem to conflate a manager's ability to coach, with the quality of his team, which in turn makes their ability to decide whether or not a coach is good at what he does, quite arbitrary. Fans like to think that they know exactly what coaches are doing, and that they know how to improve on it, but ultimately it's usually the quality of the team that decides how well the team performs in competitions - or like GL likes to put it, the product of "the coach's man management!"

Are they broke? considering how much they sell their players for they should have more than enough money to invest in proper strikers.
