I was like "okaaaaay" until the Firenze conversation
10/10 would see Firenze diagnosed with hemorroids again.

Looks like I made my weekly La Liga thread check-in at the right time lol.

Is this game worth watching. Barca always beat Celta ar home comfortably. On one hand I want Barca to drop points so that we can afford to drop points against LaReal but that would mean Valverde gets sacked

Pretty dead team, can't build anymore from back. They can't even get the ball to Messi so he could save them.

I definitely think we can beat LaReal if Ødegaard is ruled out for that match. They did not play well at all without him in their last game, and were ultimately lucky that they managed to salvage a draw against Leganes. The playmaking ability of Illaramendi simply isn’t up to scratch and they seemed to struggle with advancing the ball up the pitch, which is what Martin usually does for them.

Celta are terrible. Who gives away a FK just outside the box in stoppage time like for real. Barca too are terrible. Any other team bar Celta would've capitalised

Celta had zero chances, and they scored a good fk (which wasn't even foul). What they are doing good is, or was stopping Barca building from back.

True, Celta are terrible, but you can't really fault them for conceding a free-kick to Messi. He's too good at those.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Conceding the fk is fine. But that punk fouls Messi on purpose as a tactical foul but who does that at the end of the half ffs
Is it time to call Griezmann a flop yet? What does he even do. I am sure Munir could've donr a similar job

That may be true, but they definitely looked like a stronger collective than us, not too long ago. With all of the kneejerking that goes on around here, you’d think we’d already turned things around and there’s no looking back. We’re showing positive signs, no doubt, but I still expect to see some consistency from us before I predict that we’re the favourites for anything.

Not yet but idk, looks like another 100m wasted, it should have been spent on Neymar if they wanted a big signing. But whats the point of a big signing if you don't have a plan for him? There are issues from top to bottom because the people in charge don't have any clear ideas about this sporting project.
Griezmann is a good player when used correctly, this team needs a few cosmetic changes and should be up & running but as of right now this is a bunch of individuals kicking the ball around and not a team with a game plan.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Griezmann is a flop no doubt but we knew all along that Messi, Suarez, Griezmann can't all play together nor can Griezmann coexist with Messi as they both play the same position.
He can't even play as a David Villa type wide striker because he is left-footed. So all he can do from the left is cross the ball in.
No doubt the worst signing in Barca history. With Démbéle and Coutinho it was at least reasonable to expect them to perform in their positions. With Griezmann it was clear he does not even have a position in this team, not even a second position (playing left wing as a left-footed second striker, WTF).

Griezmann is a notorious slow starter who picks it up big time in the second part of the season... just want to throw that out there for those writing him off in early November.
If he's been poor btw, Hazard has been catatonic.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Lol no Hazard has been very good for a while now. Has Griezmann even had a goid game yet?
Hazard is involved in everyone of our attacks. What does Griezmann do other than work hard and track back? Please don't even compare the 2
This is Barca not Atleti. Barca don't have time to wait 7/8 months on the off chance Griezmann might pick it up
You could say Hazard will hit top form after Christmas because unlike this pleb you can actually see huge improvements from the starr of the preseason. Everytime i watch Barca, Griezmann is just a passenger. He won't last long let me tell you that

I think Neymar is still on the cards for Barca so if he comes Griezmann will prolly be offloaded for half the price because thats how Barca cucks do their business.

The Seville Derby, Choc des Olympiques or Juve vs Milan. Sigh. Choices, so much choices for the last match of the day.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
If it helps, Sevilla are starting with Nolito and De Jong. So you might want to tune in after 70 mins when they've been subbed off.
Dabbur is on the bench, but Munir, who scored a hat-trick in mid-week, is left out of the squad.

Ocampos 1-0. 5th goal of the season. He's surprised me tbh.
Betis started bright but Sevilla have gained control in the early stages.

I'm also pleasantly surprised by Ocampos. Was he a Monaco reject or a genuine Sevilla target?

Well, not like Sevilla was doing anything with their lead.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Yup. Betis got on top by pushing Navas and Reguilon back so Sevilla couldn't progress up the pitch. Their wing-backs have been playing much higher and they eventually managed to create an overload on Navas' side which led to the goal.
Sevilla have played this way all season long. When they get a goal, they become more conservative and commit even less players forward. Probably because the attack isn't great, but unfortunately it does give the initiative away when there are opportunities to build on a lead.
