apparently they missed out on Kubo because they did not know his contract ended in June. They thought it was in July so they were in no rush, you know classic barca numptiness

Not that good honestly. I dont watch kashima too often, but I see them enough and I dont think I have ever seen him score a goal, or even really come close. Im sure he has, but I've never seen it. Hes quick and flashy so people are drawn to him.

He was in the national high school tournament a few years ago representing some rich posh athletic school. He did good running over poor kids until they went up against a real school and got spanked, but thats usually not what people remember. They remember the early rounds because they start usually before the baseball tournament is broadcasted so they focus on that. So you get the hype machine.

Kubo is better, but I assume a large part of that comes from the education he has got in football in Europe. For what its worth though Abe seems to have a much better attitude than Kubo, who comes across as aloof and arrogant whenever I have seen him speak. His dad is a real dick too, probably the reason he asked for the big bucks. Baby boy is clearly his meal ticket.

Do we know the actual numbers? What salary did he request?

We are paying him 1 mil net per year, 2 mil gross
