James has also been strongly linked with Napoli. However it's likely his future won't be sorted out until after the copa America.

I wish him the very best. I would have liked for him to go to any other team insteas of Atleti but you can't force him to move out of his City if he is settled there. Shame to lose him

No Hala, it looks like Lunin will be staying. He has been impressive in U21.

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
I was watching Spain U21, and Ceballos and Vallejo were very impressive. Ceballos is dictating and controlLing the offense and Captain Vallejo is doing same on defense. It was same thing with Isco and Asensio with senior team a few weeks ago.
What this tells me is that most if not all of the Spanish talent we have had is talented, very in fact. The problem seems to me is they don’t fit in the style Real Madrid play. (I’ll exclude Asensio for a moment as I think his issue is more related to pressure and confidence.)
All programs throughout Spain are developing players in a possession environment, ball control, quick passes. Given the NT is trying to change the possession game to more direct and less predicable, maybe it’s time to readjust the philosophy of youth development tactics?

Asensio's issue is that the only thing he is good at his long range shooting

@hala I think Atletico are going to have a reaaaally tough time. They might bring in Llorente, but so much of their team is being picked apart. Godin, Lucas, Juanfran, Vietto gone, Rodri likely going to City, Griezmann to Barca. Complete rebuild.

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
Watch him play on seleccion before you make that statement! He clearly had issues last season and with newcomers, his time at Madrid is almost over. I feel his issues are first and foremost, him not able to handle the pressure and secondly, it is obvious his confidence has been scattered. Either he gets his act together quickly or next season will likely be last with Real.
But that aside, there is a very noticeable difference in the play of Spaniards, specifically with Isco, Asensio, Ceballos and Vallejo when they are playing for Spain vs Real. We can debate until were blue in the face as to why, but I can definitely say all 4 of them were very positive in their NT play,

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
Vallejo's issue has always been staying fit long enough to get proper game time. Ceballos' issue is Zidane basically. I think they would be fine at Madrid if it weren't for their current issues. Asensio, well, I don't know, I really don't know how things would turn out for him at the club.
All in all, not too fond of Llorente going Atleti at all.

Sucks about Llorente but nothing we can do. Casemiro is still our starter and one of the best in the position.
However I do hope Zidane has a plan for back up because for a few years I remember that being a big issue

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
Real Madrid have to sell some players but you still need a squad
You can't have a starting eleven only.
Some players will stay. The only other depart will probably be Bale and Keylor.
Asensio is so good, once in a good system. I can see him starting over vinicus on the right.
If he is disciplined enough he can become a central mid like modric did.

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
Asensio doesn't have any of the qualities or fit any type of player profile that Modric did at this age. Asensio could come good, but we will have to see what happens this season.
Even after all these departures, we will still have a squad, our squad is so bloated at the moment- over 35 players in the first team. At least 10 players will need the chop, we can start with:
Bale, Vazquez, RDT (or Mariano ), Mayoral, James, Isco, Ceballos, Llorente, Can you believe Lucas Silva is still on the books?, Theo, Vallejo, Navas.
Considering Llorente and Ceballos are basically out already, I wonder if ZZ will retain Kovacic to cover CDM. Not my favorite option but better than nothing. Then we would look like:
GK: Courtois, Lunin, Luca
RB: Carva, Odri
CB: Ramos, Varane, Militao, Nacho
LB: Marcelo, Mendy
CDM: Casemiro, Kovacic
CM: (Pogba), Kroos, Modric, Fede
RW: Vini, Brahim, Asensio
CF: Benzema, Jovic, Mariano or RDT
LW: Hazard, Rodrygo
That is a probable 25-man squad. I could see that happening. Will partially depend on the difficulty in moving the likes of James and Bale.

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
Just a couple of comments, RDT, James, Lucas Silva have deals in progress. That plus llorente can be assumed gone. All the rest you mentioned Deez are likely gone with the exception of Bale. That one seems very complicated. I can see him on squad, but out golfing daily.
Brahim, I believe will go out on loan.plus I don’t see Kovacic back, Kroos is the alternative in the mind of Zidane. I also don’t think Mariano will be here, nor de Tomas. But I can see Lucas remaining. as a squad multi purpose 24th or 25th player..
Re Asensio, I think this will be his last year here. I think the future is the 2 Brazilians, Jovic and maybe Mbappe. definitely do not see him in midfield!

Re: Sales tracker: Spanish clean out
But why would we sell Mariano AND RDT without a true 3rd option for CF, that doesn't make sense.
Also ZZ stated somewhere how much he likes Brahim and wants him in the squad next season (something along those lines), so I think he will stay as one of the extra option attacking mids.

Lunin isn't a EU-player, is he?
Think him or Rodrygo will be out. Unless there's a youth/castilla loop hole to circumvent that rule.

I'm not too fond of it either. I don't think injuries has been his only issue for us. He seemed to be far behind in the pecking order when he was fit during Zidane's last tenure. Would've absolutely preferred to keep him as a backup, but I suppose it was in his best interest to leave. As for Atletico, contrary to recent reports, Joao Felix doesn't seem to be going to the red side of Madrid. The future of their team looks to be up in the air, right now.

like Vinicius las season, it's likely that Rodrygo will be registered with Castilla to go around the EU rule for the first team

I think the purchase of Joao Felix is solely dependent on the sale of Griezmann. If Antoine isn't sold, I think there is no money for Felix.

Which makes sense, as they somewhat play the same position
