Nice. Domestic domination. Can't hate. (but am about to)
without a eruopean trophy, nobody gives a shit about a treble.

It’s funny how no one but Man City fans really care if Man City anything, it’s like no one won anything instead.

thats because everyone knows that if the city owners had gone to fullham and not city then fullham would have won the treble today. it kind of takes away from what should have been a great achievement.urbaNRoots wrote:It’s funny how no one but Man City fans really care if Man City anything, it’s like no one won anything instead.

I'd say a domestic dynasty is coming, but the other PL teams are going to do whatever possible to stop that. At least you're the best PL team in the last decade and one of the best English sides ever now.

It's a historically good team in several ways, so congrats to them. They'll also be the favorites for every domestic title next season.

liverpool could spend £150-£200 mil this summer and not break ffp rules but they wont. and thats why city will win the title again.

If only we could retain players and spend like them and not have to sell our best ones all the time to build.

You're better off now than you ever were with this sales, you wouldn't be close to the title if Coutinho stayed and signed the players you have.
He was a ball hog who was holding everyone else back, but i told you that then and you didn't listen to me then so you probably won't listen to me now.
Anyone that see's their team spend over 100m, much less more than that on two starters like you did loses any right to complain about money.
Imagine if City spent 70m+ on a CB lol, people would lose their minds. But you're acting like you signed Van Dijk on a free lol.

I am not denying we spend. Coutinho was a ball hog because he was the only creator in a drab team full of scrubs and he lead us almost single handedly for a couple of seasons after Suarez left (again not being able to retain players after a title challenge)
We can spend 200 million next season, but if we lose Salah or Mane for a 100 million. It doesn't help. I want us to retain these players, I don't get why is it so hard to understand.

Re: Manchester City achieve historic Domestic Treble (Quadruple*)
Mane was there when Coutinho was but it didn't stop anything lol.
It's who he is, it wouldn't have mattered. The improvement of others is precisely because he isn't there anymore.
None of your sales would have helped anything if they stayed and you had the money to sign who you did, it's just an excuse that you cling to.

Liverpool £18m net spend.
Manchester City £496m net spend.
Nuff said really.
Re: Manchester City achieve historic Domestic Treble (Quadruple*)
Stop with this 5 year period nonsense.
Football is played over a season not over 5 fucking years.
5 years ago, neither manager of either team was in the league and majority of their key players weren't either.
I'm honestly getting sick and tired of people making excuses for a team who spent 70m on a defender, 60m on a keeper, 60m on a midfielder they don't even fucking play plus multiple 30-40m transfers.
Yet when Man City buys Kyle Walker and Danilo, people lose their damn mind and claim on the back of said transfers they've bought the league.
Sorry if i don't feel sorry for a team who spent more in one summer than the majority of teams in the league will in the next 5 years.
Cry me a fucking river.
