It would be amazing if Newcastle became a powerhouse. I still remember "Newcastle Brown Ale" kits from my teenager years and thinking they were cool just because they had a local beer logo on them lol.

But that makes even more frustrating this 2nd place
Basically you haven't won It and you don't know even the reason
Surely you can be proud about your team but well It is hard
Anyway what Is the future of this league?
City Is being further stonger
Liverpool can improve , but they must stand up and keep going on. Klopp will have working much on mental plan
United ? If Solskjaer stays it Is a problem. And I don't think he will be replaced
Chelsea can't be competitive with transfer ban
Arsenal aren't credibile under Emery . For EPL title, It Is not Europe League everyday
Tottenham ? Lol?Next scenario seems done
It Is going to be the Newcastle year

I know me being biased towards "anything Norwegian" is a running joke on here, but is he really the core of their issues? Even if he was some Azerbaijani jobber, I really can't for the life of me see how their problems can be traced back to him. Worst case scenario, they'll suffer from his commonly perceived inexperience, but that's not the beginning, nor the end of their issues. This guy claims to have sources inside the club, and I think he talks a lot of sense regarding their internal conflicts.

Football League clubs will have to interview at least one Black, Asian or ethnic minority candidate for a first-team manager's position from next season.
It follows an 18-month trial period, which saw clubs make a voluntary commitment to the rule.
The 'Rooney Rule' is an NFL policy that requires the league's 32 teams to interview BAME candidates for head coaching and senior operation roles.
how racist is that ffs.

No need for this unless they have enough reasons to justify the racism against these minorities actually exists.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
League ended, Sunday without football ( no women football pls ) , what could I do ?
Well , I'd like to say two words about Everton.
We aren't talking about newcomers, they're a historical club , they were even the 2nd English club for leagues won till to 80s ( behind to Liverpool), if I remember correctly they are also the team to have played the most leagues in first divison (relegated just 4 times)....... .. Yet they haven't won a trophy since 1995.
Not even a League Cup. Not even won a derby away since 1999 (and honestly for some periods there wasn' t this gap between 2 Liverpool clubs). Basically if you are old 25 you can't remember a victory at Anfield, if you are of my age you can remember it hardly.
Yes, it's the age of " big money" and Everton is inferior to others on this , but history tells us that clubs as ne, Swansea, Blackburn, Middlesbrough, even Wigan, Birmingham and Portsmouth, obviously Leicester have won it ( ok I say Newcastle and West Ham United for Intertoto Cup ) ... and Everton..... nothing.
Even their presences in Europe are became rare , they don't relegate or they don't risk (except for 1998 ), but total anonymity.
Yet the chances for winning are more in England than elsewhere , for a club that have always had good players.
I remember they were capable even to bottle FA Cup semi-final at Goodison Park, losing against Wigan for 0-3 with 3 goals in 3 minutes.
I feel Everton are slipped in an infinite grayness as if it 's their normal condition and noone seems to worry about it.
Thoughts ?

Not really. Weren't Everton the team to take the title away from Liverpool this year?
It was that game where Pool slipped up and City started to control their own destiny.

I actually just fact checked my memory and indeed, the last points dropped for Liverpool were at Goodison Park.
So I am correct.

no you are not correct. you are talking like a nascar fan from alabama. if city won every single game all season and liverpool won every single game apart from drawing 1 game with everton then you would be correct. but they didnt.CBarca wrote:I actually just fact checked my memory and indeed, the last points dropped for Liverpool were at Goodison Park.

Didn't really say that wasn't true
I was just pointing out the inherent irony in calling Everton "just there for numbers", when it was at Goodison that Pool lost the league. We're not really talking about the CL here are we, in the EPL discussion thread?

Pool lost the title in the game against City, up 1 goal and then City came back to win the game 2-1.

His biggest problem is he comes off as a little starstruck cos of not working with players of this level. He treats them with respect. Respect some of these cnuts don’t deserve. He is a gem of a person, a complete opposite to Jose in that regard. A fantastic motivator and a decent at tactics too I reckon (going by his Molde stint). But sadly his humility and goodwill will also be his undoing. May be he will get there in the future, by a managing a medium sized club and gaining experience. But its too soon for him to manage United really. Especially in the state we are in. What we need is a bit more authoritarian. Not Mourinho level cnutiness, but someone to put a foot down on turds like Lingard and say to them to fking get their shit together. Instead he bows down to these buffoons and calls Marcus Rashford ‘Rashy’.
