Ajax were atrocious at set pieces. Bet they're hoping to get Barca so they have to defend against midgets. De Ligt didn't really impress me at all, feel like some hoofball team might expose him at Barca.

Hate to say but this was one of his better matches in the Spurs shirt. Was strong in the air and played good in link up and his back to the goal. Unfortunately he is not fit to make runs behind the defence and prefers to stay in the centre. He could have made lots of space for the likes of Alli and Eriksen if he had the stamina to drag defenders wide, but he didn't.

Spurs were the much better team in the second but a mixture of fatigue and the quality of the squad being what it is with injuries and suspensions kept Spurs from equalling. So many appalling decisions from different players.

In any case, going down 1-0 and still being in the tie is great for Spurs, all things considered. I thought this tie would be over after one game once I saw the team sheet. The team improves its quality when Sissoko and Winks can actually play and Wanyama is out of the team. Not to mention Son is the difference maker for Spurs atm. Dele and Eriksen need him. Difficult to do much when your striking options are Llorente and Lucas.

I think we officiate GL's seal of of approval on Eriksen, can't be having a performance like that in a CL semi-final at home.

This Ajax team is amazing but they are also susceptible to long balls and directness.

Ali: Hurried on the ball, failing to see team mates and slow to react. Frustrating performance by the English international.

Moura: Played with a lot of heart and desire to get things done with his quick feet. Unfortunately didn't play with his head up and missed the chance to create things for his side.

Eriksen: Like CBarca said he needs to dictate play to make a difference, and in this match Ajax were dictating the play for the majority.

Wanyama: The weakest link in Spurs squad. I would have subbed him out in the first 15 minutes.

Regarding De Ligt and De Jong, again I didn't see anything special in these two. De Ligt is basically another Laporte. Big and relatively comfortable on the ball until pressed. He is 19 and it is too quick to judge him but he relies too much on his physical qualities in my opinion.

Despite his goalscoring exploits in his first season, Dele is still mostly a CAM and a creator, he's not a goalscorer. He's been playing a creating role all season too, when he has played. Kane and Son are supposed to be the goalscorers. Eriksen is also much more of a creator.

Is anyone surprised Dele and Eriksen didn't have great games when playing behind Llorente and Lucas?

No they aren't. You're a system team like us. 90% of your players can't do anything on their own like ours.

Just accept it or stick to Barcelona. I don't have that option

He was pretty great, every pass on point & retrieved the ball so many times. Doesnt seem like it at first glance but he's very athletic.
