Since he became a full time Pool fan, it's constant disappointment after disappointment.

Gomez especially, I wanted to strangle him. The guy gets studded up tackled by Verratti in front of the ref, and instead of rolling around a couple of times to get the thug sent off, he immediately gets up like a nice, obedient beta boy.

No...alpha players have a win at all cost mentality. Which means if they have to act like a pussy for 10 seconds to give an advantage to their team for winning the game, they'll do it.

Messi was one of the best players in that game though. Created 2 clear cut chances, created a good one for Coutinho.

What else can he do?

He had a very good game imo.

As for Ballon Dor, I reckon it should go to Cluthcrigi. Never seen a player be so decisive in the CL sf and finals. He deserves it.

This guy has been WASHED for quite some time now. Had a brief spell as the best CB in the world after playing for mid-lvl teams most of his career.

Not even a top 10 CB in the league let alone the world.
