Last season we were dogshit in the start and hit 1st gear from november, then hit extra 1st gear from january-february. Dunno whats gonna happen this season though but we're joint top so I won't complain.

Fabinho looked really good imo. And Gomez is a *bleep* boss. Once again we could have finished the game on like 5 occassions if we only played that fiñal pass better, we really need to get our shit together in attack, but I won't complain now since we are still joint top and Klopp started rotating so something positive is happening at least.

City will win the league comfortably.

Liverpool aren't good enough and Chelsea the only other contender will get found out soon enough because they depend solely on Hazard.

I also think City will win the league this season comfortably. I just cant see them getting anywhere in Europe. They will surely get eliminated in first 2 knock out rounds imo Laughing after that they will just roll away all the teams in EPL and probably make another record.

Post-international break and with a few injuries, 1-0 isn't the worst result. Just take the points and run.

I think Liverpool are being less gung-ho with their attacking this season, which is how you're grinding out these wins. If your forwards find some form then it could out very well.

Agreed, but similar to Ox and Robinson, I expect Keita and fabinho to make the CM place their own by December. Ox took until January and Robertson probably quit football idk but they did it finally under Klopp's training and are now the best players in the squad, hoping for the same.

Gomez needs to play together with VanDjik. Their passes from the center of the pitch are so important for our team. I still cant digest Lovren as a first choice CB.

We need to keep up with City till the end of the first half of the season and till then hopefully we will start scoring goals again. Klopp really needs to work out few formulas here. Using Studge in the same role as Firmino is so dumb imo. He has to coach the team in a different way when Firmino is not playing.

I really liked Lallana today. I think we can use him to fill the absence of Ox.

I agree with you Helmer. Gomez' passes are amazing, reminds me of Rio Ferdinand in his style as a ball-playing CB. Gomez-Van Dijk partnership shouldn't be broken.

We are not playing gung-ho but we are also playing a bit one dimensional. At least to me it always seems like, the front 3 and one of the CM are all asked to pass the ball to Salah wherever he makes a run and the teams have realized that and are able to cope up with that.

The only time we created better opportunities today was when Huddersfield left too much space and went more forward in search of a goal, towards the end of the game.

Yeah I agree. Klopp said before this match that Fabinho is close to the starting 11. And after today's match, I think it should settle it. He played really good today imo.

That's fine, though. You didn't give up any big chances, and you exploited space behind by the opposition. Better decision making on the day and the game ends 3-0 or something.

"Give it to Salah" was the plan last season as well. It'll work if Salah's on form, which he will be eventually.

And your attack will lose something when you take Keita, Chamberlain and Mane out of the side. Not much you can do about it.

Yeah GOATllana had some great skills today but he needs more time after his injury. He isn't able to play full 90 mins yet, and he isn't in full form yet he asked Klopp to be subbed out after like 60 mins. I remember Klopp saying Lallana is one of the most technically gifted players he's seen, I really missed Lallana's little skill moves Proud
And his pressing still looks good as before, he ran close to 10km in 60 minutes.

im still not sure if the lack of goals is more down to players form or getting tougher at the back has taken away from our attack. but now you can see why i was saying since klopps first day in the job you need to sort the defence before anything else.

Maybe we should give it more time and see how we play when we have a Lallana-Fabinho-Keita midfield behind Salah-Firmino-Mane.

We need Keita and Fabinho fully integrated first so yeah it needs a bit more time.

He was arguably our most important player in 2016/17 season, he thrived under Klopp because he was great both in attacking phase and he pressed like crazy in defence. Then he got injured for the whole 17/18 season and now he's back. If he doesn't get injured again I think he can come good for this season and then Ox will be back. But even if he doesn't I think we should be fine with Ginaldinho-Fabinho-Keita or Milner-Fabinho-Keita midfield. The main thing we need I think is Keita or Lallana to connect with our front 3 like Ox did last season. Or even Shaqiri in that role.

Or if shit goes bad just buy Fekir or someone else in january for that offensive role in midfield. Laughing

We have a much easier schedule than our rivals until january so I think we should be good by then.

Wonder if Modric's 99 agility had something to do with Gomes being loaned out. hmm
