I love, absolutely that Lope brings on Lucas for Nacho despite Odriozola being there. What a guy. And I also love that he waited till the 70th minute to bring on Ceballos. Seriously, if Lope wants to be fired, there are healthier ways to lose his job.

Also 0 for 3 in "big" matches. Lovely start.

Lopetegui has been making very questionable subs and he's not really helping his case.

But like I said, it would be really unfair to blame him entirely for the defeat when you see the quality (or lack thereof) of his strikers.

Like seriously, which manager would've won tonight at the Pizjuán with Benzema as his CF? He's been making many tactical mistakes, but he hasn't been given a great attack to work with, and that should be taken into account when you assess his tenure.

sorry but mariano played much better then benzema today. he was making more runs, stretching the defense with his movement, had shots off, and looked more dangerous in 10 minutes then benzema looked al game.

Of course Benzema is also to blame, this was, once again, a lethargic performance from him. This is last season's Benzema, the one that scored 5 goals. Nah, you Benzame fans need to take this L like every Madrid fan out here.

Hard to match intensity when that’s the case.
