hey there's nothing wrong with a man trying to reach for the stars. Only problem is, in your case, the stars you're trying to reach no longer exist.

Tbh, I'm not sure what to expect from Sevilla in this game. Their recent home record vs Madrid has been great, but it's always been a close game, and there always seems to be a penalty and red card somewhere. I've a feeling Madrid will win this time.

Part of that is because Sevilla's defending is really shoddy. They don't have a single reliable centre back and play wingers as their wing-backs. While Navas is actually okay, Aleix Vidal has been playing LWB and has looked horrible. If he's not playing, it'll be Arana, who's only 21 and really inexperienced at this level. Bale will be in the game.

They're also without a true holding player. Banega played there vs Levante and it looks like Mesa will play there tomorrow. I'm not confident with him there against Madrid's midfield. I think you'll able to play your around both of them easily (and they're both rash and like to dive in, which doesn't help).

I think Sevilla will line-up like this:

Vaclik; Gnagnon, Kjaer, Gomez; Navas, Banega, Mesa, Vidal; Sarabia, Vazquez; Ben Yedder

They could drop Vazquez and play Andre Silva in a front two with Ben Yedder as well.

Isco out for 4 weeks. Time for Asensio to not hide behind other players and actually step up and take responsibility. Sevilla can have the worsr team in their history and we are always going to come out of the game like wounded animals. I don't know what it is that give our players stage fright but if Barca can get past their achilles heel that is LaReal we need to do the same with Sevilla. I'd play Nacho at RB over Odriozola. We need to go with the tried and trusted for this game

To be fair, La Real really should have belted Barcelona off the park that day. They still have their number but Barcelona got their act together and can now come back to beat them.

Also, I think this is the first time I've seen Jay post here. Signs that Madrid might actually beat Sevilla in Seville imo. Sucks about Isco but Madrid actually have cover for him, go figure.

I had the same complex with La Coruna 10 years ago.... the amount of times we got spanked there was painful.  I guess Sevilla has picked up the baton.
