Sevilla - Real Madrid
Early game, Saturday. 3rd spot up for grabs. Real still have numerous injuries and questionable coach yet alone lineup. They say if it’s another repeat of first encounter Sevilla was 3-0 in Bernabeu), it could well be the beginning of end for Solari.
I’m actually routing for Sevilla!

Madrid is at home
Sevilla beat 3-0 in their stadium, not in the bernabeu

Real Madrid fans never stop being disgusting and hypocrites, so you gonna cheer sevilla to beat the team you support cause isco is too shit to earn a starting spot lmao, it's amazes me how you guys love trashing players for not being brave enough in big moments, yet every time the team struggles you guys wanna bail first and talk shit with barca supporters weak ass fanbase .

you do realize that dropping points and falling out of a ucl spot could deter talent from wanting to come to madrid next season right? so rooting for sevilla is counterproductive, solari will stay till the end and we'll start afresh with new coaching staff next season, but we need every 3 points we can get. stars don't want to play football on thursday nights, and we lose money not playing in europe's top competition. you may not like solari, and the team is boring, but rooting for the opponent makes ZERO sense in the short or long term
we need talent, we need money, we need prestige; we get neither of those from playing europa league football- which is something that could happen to us, if we drop points left right and center

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
Tito, finishing out of top 4, may well be the only way for Flo to see how bad this team is!!
Nor to I expect that Flo, or anyone else for that matter, will be able to rectify this situation in just one summer!
Most of us, went into this season believing we had a good squad that was just deficient of one or two good forwards! Now we have every reason to question the majority of the squad, let alone two coaches and management / leadership.
Flo could be using the winter market to at least acquire some short term relief, but all he does is bring in another 18 year old promise with absolutely no senior experience. This team is dreadful to watchand constantly struggles against the bottom half of liga teams. Finishing outside of CL is most appropriate.

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
I would argue if we continue with Solari we will likely not qualify for CL, so if we get a few bad results in a row he may be sacked. Then we can hire a proper coach until the end of the season to give us a real chance at CL, CDR, and a CL spot for next season.

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
Van deez it costs money to hire a proper coach at this time of the season, especially if you're planning to get a coach to build for future in the summer as well. Why? Unless u sign the coach for only 5 months , u pay a severance package. And two, no coach with any ounce of self respect will sign a deal for the last few months , only to get canned at the end. Such a coach would either be a castilla type guy ala solari or a completely desperate man seeking a job......and I dont want that
We dug ourselves in this hole, we must battle it till seasons end

Well I wasnt enamoured with this squad at the start of the season, I wasnt even enamoured with the squad last season. We do not need to play europa for flo to understand. He Knows we need help, his problem is who. We will rejuvenate in the summer when we get a coach
But, when you are competing for players in the market, playing ucl football is attractive to players. If other rivals (not just barca who have gone bonkers in the market, but city, psg utd juve), can offer ucl football, and u cant, it does NOT help your cause
There is absolutely no justification for wanting your team to lose. This isnt NBA where the loser gets good draft picks in the summer...no positives to losing in footy

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
Also, it's all about contracts, it isnt easy to snag a useful player in January, especially taking into account that such players maybe cup tied. And if said player is good, what team will sell their star striker providing them like 15 league goals at half the season to another club? We should have done our homework in the summer.
I am against spending time and energy to snag players in January. The deals we should be negotiating now are deals to bring players in the summer. We work on that now, and tie up loose ends in say august. That makes more sense than going back and forth with players agents in september

It will be much more costly to continue with Solari and potentially not qualify for CL.
I'm not saying we should hire someone for the future, I am just saying we should hire a non-shit caretaker manager until the end of the season. Also to your point on having to pay the managers we fire- there tends to be clauses based on performance to get around that, so Solari definitely would not be getting paid.
We just need to fix the mistake we made of hiring Solari in the first place.

Unless he drops out of the top four or loses the dressing room completely, I fail to see Florentino firing him before the end of the season.

Lol yeah a castilla coach won't get any payout, but theres no guarantee the team will be better, unless the new coach phenomena for the first 3 weeks happens. It's not just on solari, the team has problems all across the board. We just have to manage the steady the ship football till the end

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
So we have half the squad out injured. Maybe they're just avoiding Solari who knows
We'll probably play a frontline of Vini-Benz-Lucas. I look forward to seeing Vini go at their RB
Wonder who draws the long straw to start in midfield between Ceballos and Valverde, we all know he chooses at random. Also hopefully Regiollon starts. Can't stand seeing Marcelo get abused again

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
when the team was playing well, everyone was fit or recovering quickly from injuries.
now the team is poor and half the squad is out injured. coincidence?
this happens at a lot of clubs.

Crap runs by benzema. He isn't offering an option for the wingers and midfielders to play him into a scoring position.

Benzema always chooses to go to the second post... i dont understand why he doesnt attack the first post, he would reduce the flight of the ball, and save Vasquez from having to pull a perfect cross

Vinicius is great he beats 3 guys and he doesnt go for the hero shot, he looks for the pass. details that say a lot about his quality and intelligence

Re: Sevilla - Real Madrid
Vini is a kid with no final product unfortunately. Great dribbler though and great motor. But he shouldn't be anywhere near a Real Madrid top squad in his current state of development.
Of course, you could say the same thing for Vasquez, Reguillon and Ceballos. They're not elite level starting players. But we're a poverty club this year.
