If that's what you meant I agree with you

Re: WC 2018 QFs - Brazil vs Belgium
Couldnt be more happy with Belgium WOOO HOOOO
Martinez fixed pretty much exactly the issues shown in the Japan, he takes out Mertens and pushes De Bruyne up who is the best their as the play maker, and cleverly moving Lukaku to the right, and Felliani to help in the right DM position to take out Neymar, and gotta say, Im surprised him and Menuier are doing a decent job at that, although sometimes 2c3 with Marcelo and Coutinho overloading that side, so its risky, think Lukaku or De Bruyne needs to help out more on that side, otherwise they will just try it the same and try to score more on the counter. Chadni in for Carrascco who has been poor is also clear after the Japan game Courtouis seeming back to his best.
If they can beat Brazil they can definitely go all the way

Since 2006, the WC trophy hasn't left Europe. Brazil may be the most successful nation of all-time, but Europe is certainly the most successful continent in the modern era.

Brasil's coach must think Jesus is the actual Jesus, the only explanation why he's starting all tournament long without doing anything useful.
Also, just like all tourney long, Brasil struggle to create chances. Way too slow attacking play. Frankly, they don't play like they deserve to go through.

France was viewed in the early 80's the same way Belgium is viewed today.
Spain was considered a big joke until their golden generation in 2008.
Maybe you're just witnessing Belgium becoming a " big team " .

Well to be fair to him, 77% of Russia is located within the borders of Asia, I wouldn't classify them as "absolutely European".
I think people tend to classify them as European because more Russians live in the European part of the country than the Asian part.

Most of the area that isn't european is hardly inhabited though and more than 3/4 of the russian population are located in the european part.
I mean sure it's not just a european country but it's definitely more european than anything else. Comparing it with Australia being counted as Asian is just nonsensical.

Well, Lukaku is not that skilled though. Can't seem to stop the ball very well. But very good once at speed.

Until the big African migration most kids played rugby in France. I lived in France back then, football was not the main sport.

Re: WC 2018 QFs - Brazil vs Belgium
The way Belgium are playing now was something Martinez used to do at Everton.
Lukaku drifts out wide on counters to exploit the space left behind by the opposition full-backs and pull a centre back towards him. Then he can use his pace and power to push past them.
In this case, they've got Hazard doing the same on the other side and De Bruyne supporting. De Bruyne can do that now with Fellaini protecting the midfield along with Witsel.

Seems only original big teams are brazil and argentina. But Uruguay also won 2 world cups. Why nobody consider them big team? Netherlands never won it but they are big team. Uruguay won it twice but they are not a big team. where is the logic?
