You are not familair with how many clubs that have flopped with an oil sheikh then... There is literally very little profit in it. It's mostly for their own PR.
Also me saying that Flo could pay for the stadium itself isn't as crazy as you make it out to be. But I respect his decision to not do it. Madrid is a club that is big enough to run itself
It is crazy actually.
You are essentially asking a guy to donate hundreds of millions to an association and with no return on investment, it's ridiculous really.
Read my other posts, I said oil sheikhs do it! So it's not as far fetched as you make it out to be.
Besides the obvious fact that they have deeper pockets than Flo, oil sheiks own the teams too. Which means they will also own the stadium that they build. Flo doesn't own Real Madrid since it is a non-profit association and his tenure there is only temporary.

Re: Julen Numptegui Suicide Watch
Oil sheiks losing money on investments is not the same as a donation to a non profit organization, let alone it’s actually illegal now in Europe. And how do you know the oil sheiks are actually losing. Take the case of PSG, the investments in PSG are part of the larger investment in BEIN, which is turning out huge profits!!
Like I said earlier, the more you post, you demonstrate how little you know!

Moment of truth for Lope today. A loss and he's definitely getting sacked, a win and he gets to keep his job until the next setback. A draw and he's hanging by a thread

Re: Julen Numptegui Suicide Watch
Might as well sack him and get it over with, I say. I don't think he deserves it, and it's not the most rational thing to do - but if we're going to go back to sacking managers left and right, we might as well start now. Maybe the board will eventually realize that our conservative spending does have something to do with the drop in performance.

Re: Julen Numptegui Suicide Watch
thimmy... if Flo gets into sacking mode, it's back to the mid 00s. We want to avoid that at all cost imo. Reason is that the top managers won't come unless they have no choice. And those that do come will be too scared to take any risks.
I'm really not wanting to see those days again. I'd like us to stay rational. The rational thing is to wait until the winter break and see where we are.

Re: Julen Numptegui Suicide Watch
A really sick side of me wants Solari just so he can get sacked and get away from Castilla.
It will probably be Conte, Lowe, or Jardim as an outside candidate.

Let's sign Wenger for the lulz. we are not going to win anything this year anyway.

Seriously dude, fook him! Shouldn't have flirted with Madrid while still being Spain's coach. It's all his fault.

Of course it is, but we all know that's not likely to happen. Especially, not after this match.

That's what I have been asking myself. Why would you leave a great job you were doing so great at and come to this mess.
DEEZ was right, I already feel bad for the guy who's going to take over. What a shit show
