Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Kick wrote:Like I said, he has been correct recently when it comes to our transfers so I have no reason to doubt him, besides, all of our reliable journo's are reporting both are targets, so the only thing I doubt is the price.
Lol I'm not sure he is great, he was saying Sarri was coming tomorrow x2387347347 this window.
I don't want Higuain, hopefully all BS.
Either way I don't trust this guy.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Higuain and Sarri is a great match. After losing Diego Costa and replacing him with Morata (???????), you should be applauding such a transfer link.
There are no better #9s available
Anyways, I do hope the move happens. I think it's a good fit for Higuain and we need to move a forward.
Unsurprisingly Sarri is linked with Rugani and Higuain, two players who performed their best under his management

Not a great source but,
Higuain has accepted the offer of Milan. They offered him a 4-year contract worth €8m/yr. (TMw)
The transfer of Higuain to Milan depends on the departure of Andre Silva, who’s close to joining Wolves for €45m. (Tmw)

Juventus want €60m for Gonzalo Higuain, an investment that does not scare Milan. Chelsea, however, are in pole position to sign the striker and reunite him with former coach Sarri. Juve have not received any official offers yet. [via the very reliable @romeoagresti]

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Lets be realistic, every club that needs a #9 should be all over Higuain for 60M. It's a dead market and teams don't go anywhere without a proven goal scorer up top. Experiments like Andre Silva, Morata, etc. they just are not worth the gamble.
I'll be forever appreciative of the thickness, we are just overloaded up top and of our remaining forwards, his exit seems the most sensible

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
It has nothing to do with caring or not caring about Higuain.
The thickness has been a formidable force for us for two seasons. In those same two seasons we have acquired Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa for roughly 200M spend. We also have Dybala, Cuadrado and Mandzukic among our attack.
It's a numbers problem as you can see. Too many forwards, not enough space on the team

Mandzukic would be the better fit anyway considering we'd no longer be relying on him to score any significant amount of goals he'd just be doing the dirty work at CF.

Di Marzio of SKY:
Chelsea and Juventus established the first contacts for Higuaín. Chelsea requested Juventus to sign him but everything depends on the future of Morata and Batshuayi.
Before buying Pipa, Chelsea want to sell Morata and Batshuayi.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
The idea of selling Higuain is because we have too many forwards
Why would we sell Higuain to bring in a worse striker in Morata who is around the same wages? Can he play CM? Pass like Pirlo? Nah

Why is it so hard to understand us wanting to sell choker Higuain when we just purchased the greatest #9 ever??

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Higuain is still one of the top classic no. 9s around. There aren't many of them. Played like Sarri played him at Napoli, he is a scoring machine for weekly day in and day out league play. Just don't rely on him for the big Cup/European matches. He would be great for Inter as an understudy for Icardi now that Inter will be playing a lot more games. However, he is too expensive for Inter with the players they have already bought.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Juventus have made it clear they’d sell Gonzalo Higuain for €60m, according to reports, so they await an offer from Milan.
The Bianconeri have signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, so it appears that Pipita is surplus to requirements.
He has been heavily linked with a reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea, but the Rossoneri have also shown interest.
This morning’s Gazzetta Sportiva reports that incoming technical director Leonardo is a big fan of Higuain, and tried to take him to Paris Saint-Germain.
Juve have made it clear they’d sell for €60m, as that would allow them to break even on the initial transfer, and with the arrival of Elliott Management as owners the Rossoneri should have some room for manoeuvre.
If Nikola Kalinic and perhaps some other players are sold it could raise the necessary money for a bid, so the Bianconeri are awaiting an offer from Milan.

Marotta contacted Leonardo to wish him luck on his new role at Milan but they also discussed Higuain. Milan are yet to make an offer but the two clubs will proceed with talks. Before going ahead Milan will offload some players [@DiMarzio]

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
I think he'd prefer to stay in Italy at this point in his career than go to England even if it means reuniting with his former coach
Never thought Chelsea move would materialize tbh. Still don't.
There's a good chance Milan move happens.

From Zapata to Bonucci. From Kalinic to Higauin. Milan should make their third kit black and white to honour us ffs
