To tell you how lopsided that line up could potentially be, Barcelona actually played a similar line up yesterday (Suarez with Dembele, Coutinho and Ini in advanced positions with Rakitic and Busquets in the CM roles). Levante had a fun time by passing their midfield any chance they got.

Wouldn't mind Suarez going, he's on decline and anyway he's not that great if he doesn't have a Neymar next to him

Obviously. I mean, our CF has 5 goals in La Liga. Emmanuel Boateng, hattrick hero vs Barcelona has 6 goals and would be an immediate upgrade. Suarez's 25 is pretty much God like in my eyes.

There are different levels of decline, it's not a Benzema-type decline but still a decline nonetheless.

What I'm saying is that it's better to sell him now that we can still get some good money for the guy. He'll be 32 mid next season, it's only downhill from now.

Im actually really excited and happy to get Grizemann if its true More exciting than Coutinho or Dembele since for me Grizemann is proven and mature, has the class and cutting edge up front and his all round play is so good, we can only benefit.

In terms of what it means for the other players I still think Suarez and even Messi is aging, they would need rotation, and atm we only have Paco up front capable for that. I also think we would eventually wanna go back to our traditional formation of 4-3-3 more or less rather than 4-4-2 which is just not Barcas style at all.

Anyway to compete as the very best we need a player like Grizemann. Oh and this will have weakened a direct rival significantly, good move

He's still elite for sure. Wouldn't like to see a PL side sign him though at 31.

But for Serie A? You're getting a good 4 years out of him. Milan should be all over that if they can pay his wages.. there are no realistic alternatives if you want a top striker and they need that. I don't see him leaving anyway. Will stay at Barca.

Suarez got 25 goals in a team that scored 98 altogether.

Less to do with needing the money and more to do with squad management. Suarez is on huge wages, Griezmann would also be on huge wages and both have that seniority that demands they need to be played particularly Suarez. The odd man out is Dembele who is already on the bench so there is that.

It's an exciting signing, no lie, great player that Griezmann but it doesn't actually solve much.

Griezmann is Atletico's talisman. At Barca he would be another piece, like Suarez is. Aka Messi's waterboy. Garuantee his numbers at the end of the season won't be great.

I really feel like the Griezmann signing is just ridiculous and won't happen. It can't. It's too stupid.

Another reason why I really don't get this transfer bar the vanity behind it is that Griezmann plays best with another striker with him. Particularly one who can play with his back to goal, you know, like Diego Costa. I am sure Suarez can do that but Barca fans (not just Linetty surprisingly) want him sold so who is gonna be Griezmann's strike partner? Messi? Lol. It was no coincidence that Antoine's numbers went up after Costa arrived.

Seriously, the odd man out in any scenario is Dembele.
