Who will qualify? (Select two teams)
Re: World Cup (2018) - Group D (Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria)
This is the group of death as many would agree. I am seriously worried for Argentina here since all three look to be tightly contested matches. Still they have to be come out of the group and should be accompanied by Nigeria. Croatia could run the latter close but they have shown a tendency of under-performing when it matters. So this time I am not tipping them.

Croatia v Nigeria the game of the day. Need the super eagles to triumph for my bet.

The feeling a get so far in this match is Argentina is still pretty shite Basically it looks like the midfield is completely non existent.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group D (Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria)
Can someone pls explain why Biglia is ever present in the Argentina team? For years now hes the starting regular....but he doesnt offer much? Dont Argentina have another better one in midfield? Macherano is just basically a deep sitting pure DM, and then Biglia and Messi.... it really is just non existent midfield and wont have any chance for the WC
With all respect, struggling vs Iceland with all 30 year olds....

Biglia is a DM, not a creative midfielder. Mascherano-Biglia was Argentina's midfield in 2014 when they reached the final.

What Argentina is missing though is Di Maria in his 2014 wc form

I know that and it now looks very good that they did with that team loool... its so bad to see Argentina cant produce better midfielders for so long?
Benega coming on for him now.... it should get better now...

No point in playing 2 DMs vs Iceland who parked the bus, Banega should've started the game

Lanzini was a really good creative player for Argentina, he played so well for the NT but got injured right before the WC started

Amazing that in the past 10 years we haven't been able to find one coach that doesn't force Messi to come down to the defense to pick up the ball

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group D (Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria)
Iceland defense certainly proves why they have been doing so well in the past few years at least, they arent scrubs, but this feels a bit typical of Argentina still.... remember way back in 1998 or 2002 it was Argentina got knocked out very early unable to break down PTB teams despite dominating, and not that convincing defensively...
Just feel so bad for Messi, destined not to win a WC it seems.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group D (Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria)
Messi stop taking penalties please.
Also Argentina's players need to grow some balls, even when Messi was in terrible positions they ignored better options to pass to him.
I get he's your best player but showing a bit of individualism would be nice.
