Re: UCL QF: Liverpool vs City
Milner equals Champions League assists record
James Milner has equalled the record for assists in a UEFA Champions League campaign after notching up his eighth in only seven outings in the competition for Liverpool this season.
Milner laid on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Liverpool's second goal against Manchester City to match a record held by Wayne Rooney and Neymar under the current format introduced for 2003/04.
Remarkably, the versatile England man reached the landmark after being on the pitch for only 452 minutes in the competition this term. That means that at the time of equalling the record he was averaging an assist every 57 minutes compared to Rooney's one every 96 minutes in 2013/14 and Neymar's one every 100 minutes for Barcelona last season.
Milner could have four more matches to take the record himself ... if Liverpool reach the Kyiv final.

No, no. I appreciate you hating Juve. They let us all down yesterday. I just hope Buffon outlives me to be one of my pallbearers, so that he can let me down one last time

Clean sheet was crucial. You're through IMO. Can't see you not scoring at least 1.

Re: UCL QF: Liverpool vs City
This was the reason why I preferred playing Kommander instead of Liverpool....
Also can we acknowledge Pep's Cowardice tactic??? FFS Playing GUNDOGAN as RW. Should be a sack-able offensive.

Madrid with the better midfield, better defenders and the Kommander in unicorn mode, yeah, City would have lost by the exact same scoreline given how they played today.

Walker is still decent.
Otamendi has to be the biggest fraud in the league playing CB after Sanchez. Sanchez is atleast young.

Re: UCL QF: Liverpool vs City
Due to whatever goes through Pep mind, Walker had the wonderful task of not only commanding an entire right flank on his own (sort of) but to also try to mark Mane and Robertson who both hand no qualms in overloading his side of the field.
And nasir really preferred Marcelo and Isco/Ronaldo to Robertson and Mane, well word.

Re: UCL QF: Liverpool vs City
I prefer Madrid cause Liverpool's style of play is our weakness.
No question Kommander would have scored a goal or two.
But does Madrid even Press?? I watched the Juve game and they didn't do much of it. Juve dominated possession and got let down by scrubs like Costa and Higuain.
Getting pressed by 99 stamina freaks like Firmino and Goats like Milner. Would rather face DMzema and Ronaldo who do zero defensive work.

we have humiliated GUardiola teams' twice in two different years, and City are not any better than GUardiola's Bayern.nasir6371 wrote:I prefer Madrid cause Liverpool's style of play is our weakness.

Mate, you would have had a tough time no matter which side. We have literally been the only team who has attacked against you lot this season lol.nasir6371 wrote:I prefer Madrid cause Liverpool's style of play is our weakness.

No doubt we are your bogey team but the wankness of all the other PL teams in general has made you look better than you actually are.

It'll be Ox-Milner-Wijnaldum. Firmino would be everywhere, can't really call him a DM. He has a free role.
