Re: Champions League 2017/2018 Quarter Final Draw
For some reason I feel like we'll get an easy draw. Not sure why. In before we get Barca. Would be interesting match up, our Mid vs Theirs and Suarez/Messi vs Our back 4. And with Busq possibly out for the 1st leg
Prediction:
City - Seville
Madrid - Bayern
Juve - Liverpool
Barca - Roma

MC must be highly rated by posters who only watch PL. The only decent team they met was a half strength Napoli in the first game and Ghoulan-less Napoli in the next game.

The thing is that nobody in the CL looks great so far IMO. I think City have a decent chance against any of them but yeah, I'd still favour Barca, Juve and Bayern over them. They lost to Basel at home 2 weeks ago ffs. I know the tie was over and they changed the team but still. Also think Roma are better than Sevilla, Mourinho is just a huge coward scared shitless to lose games. Everyone should want Sevilla over Roma. I just hope City or even Pool draw them as I'm convinced they will win like 5-0 and emphasize how fraudulent Mou is.

Re: Champions League 2017/2018 Quarter Final Draw
Roma aren't bad at all. They've gone through more good teams at this stage of the CL than most and conceded 0 goals at home. They aren't strong enough to do much more now against the top teams but they'll compete with most. If its Sevilla or Liverpool I'd back them to go through.
I think we'd beat City but I'd rather avoid them. I don't need to see 180 minutes of their midfield against ours.

Hmmm. Liverpool already drew 2-2 and 0-0 against Sevilla in the group stage. Has Liverpool improved so much since then that they will win 5-0?

Re: Champions League 2017/2018 Quarter Final Draw
I don't think there are any bad teams left but everyone will rightfully pinpoint Sevilla and Roma for clear reasons. Less quality + inexperienced managers in Europe
Juve could really have trouble, especially if it's a tough first leg away for example, given that Pjanic is suspended and he's our only great midfielder these days

Come to think of it, a Real vs Barca CL final hasnt happened before, anyone know if the old European if it ever happened?? On the one hand I wouldnt like it cause I wouldnt be able to stand losing to them in the final, but on the other hand it would be so fking epic, and historic.... who knows, if it ends up this year, and Real win, they would win it three times in a row, otherwise we beat them and really smack them back to and show our dominance.

Re: Champions League 2017/2018 Quarter Final Draw
Well it'd happen if only Barca could get past the quarter final
I fancy Barca to beat us in a two legged tie but we are never losing a final against anyone
If we can avoid Jjuve, Barca and Bayern in this draw I'll be happy. Jjuve are Italian aka our achilles heels, Bayern are rejuvenated under Juppy and probably looking for revenge and Barca are bipolar
Obviously every single team is going to fancy Sevilla with Mercado, Kjaer and co kicking the ball into their own net and from Montellas interview you could sense he wss satisfied with their season banging on about this historic feat bla bla. Roma another team with a poor defence spearheaded by failed LaLiga/EPL defenders in Kolarov/Fazio etc are probably going to be out by the first leg.
Liverpool I feel will be huffing and puffing but in the end will be outdone by their defence and goalie. City I sense will be like QSG, as soon as they feel the game might be out of reach they are going to give up and let the other team cruise to victory

Barca are severly underrated. Just like us, they have harmony in the squad and everybody seems to like everybody. One of the few key factors to our success under Zidane. And Barca has it definitely. Potential CL winners imo. City don't stand a chance to them at the moment.

How are Barca underrated when most say they are favorites to win the cup?

Most are saying City and Barca 2nd though, that's what I meant as underrated. Art Morte even wanted Liverpool to draw Barca!

Now, don't be too greedy. You got the 5-placed team in the PL in the round of 16. It's time for you to break a sweat and get a heavyweight for a change.
Real Madrid on the other hand needs a breather after taking on Nikemar's PSG with their 400m attack. We deserve an easier opponent now, otherwise it would be an injustice.

Re: Champions League 2017/2018 Quarter Final Draw
I am not a religious man in the slightest, never prayed before in my life, but right now, if god exists. I know there are many things I could ask to benefit others, but all I want is for Loserpool to draw Bayern or Juve. If you grant me that one wish I promise to live earnestly and do a good deed sometime within the next year.

Re: Champions League 2017/2018 Quarter Final Draw
How does it matter, We won't win the CL anyways and we already have bragging rights of going further regardless, I think it'll be sweeter for rivals if we miss out on a later stage rather than earlier imo

why? Sevilla are elite. That's a tough game for anyone IMO. Opposite of being a coward.

Yeah his injury was a pity. Torn ACL wasn't it. Our starting left back suffered the same fate just so you know.
Though looking at whoscored, Ghoulam's Champs League rating is 0.35 points lower than Fabian Delph an emergency left back so lets not kid ourselves they were missing Roberto Carlos.
They were probably better at the Etihad anyways.
They got ruined at home.
