True story and that's why i debated against Montella's sacking earlier this season. Instead it's Fassone & Mirabelli who should resign, or be resigned. Those are the 2 persons responsible for this fiasco.

Gattuso is like a raw version of Antonio Conte. With a B+ squad and courageous players he could have done something relevant as temporary manager. Sadly you can't expect that to happen because of the C- squad "worth" 200M assembled by Fassobelli

He shoudl have never been hired after Montella. A real (proven) coach is needed. There are too many probelms at the club to blame him. Gattuso just said "i would resign if i was a problem" and he is right, it's not him. Fassobelli just said as well "blame me" and they are right too.

The proven coach is meant for 2018-2019.

As temporary solution, Gattuso's grinta could have been a factor of success, like it often happens in football. But Fassobelli chose the wrong players last summer and now we see the result.

I did not follow Gattuso's previous career, if you tell me he was a shit coach then i believe you.

About what he could have done at the club of his heart Milan with a quality squad, we'll never know. But certainly it would have been less of an humiliation for the club legend that he is.

He never really had much success coaching in the past, but wow... has that changed.

The problem with our team before is the lack of communication and cohesion. We had players running around randomly under Montella. Players with world class attributes and great potential not playing up to par at all. That changed.

This thread should be renamed the "Montella Sack watch", because you know that's coming again lol.

These are games we all would have lost under Montella. I don't think we beat a single team in the top half of the table when he was coaching this season.

That might make sense, but it's been what? A dozen games? And Gattuso actually lost the first two if I recall correctly back in November.

Something is very different about this team. There is actually quality there that hasn't existed before. Gattuso just found a way to utilize it. Pippo never had that kind of quality, and the team is under a completely new management. There are some world class or potentially world class players in this team. They were underutilized.

Gattuso has all but turned the ship around, I do feel renewing him now would be extremely premature given the matches on the horizon though
