I'm so ready for this. Music films are one of my favourite genres out there. Bradley Cooper actually sounds amazing, didn't think he'd pull it off.

Finally watched Lady Bird and Disaster Artist since they both got put on Amazon Prime. Both good movies, nothing great imo.

Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Watched I, Tonya and Phantom Thread.
I, Tonya was hilarious. Margot Robie gave her best performance yet. Great movie.
Phantom Thread obviously had a fantastic performance by DDL. PTA was at his usual form here but shoutout to the musical score and fantastic costume design. I liked I, Tonya better though. Thought the ending of this was weird.
Only have Call Me By Your Name left to see out of big 2017 films.

Depends on the video library. For me the main reason to get it is free two day shipping. Also students in US and UK get 6 months free, so I've had it for free all this time. Check out the video library and see if you think its worth it.

Not saying A Quiet Place isnt good, but its definitely not what all those critics are saying, some gave it score of 100, lol wtf. I watch my fair share of all kinds of movies, and this is a very good one, but the problem I have is its so unrealistic and full of flaws, so give it overly high scores and reviews just not gonna agree with. Anyway, as usual just my view and movies as with everything is all about subjective and personal taste and preference.

Can’t wait to read how critics are wrong once again, because people don’t understand how reviews work.

Well tbf Freeze, he didn't trash the movie and say that it is horrible. He just kindly disagreed with the many critics' beliefs out there, nothing wrong in that, and we all know movies are just down to subjective taste at the end of the day and he just gave his own thoughts.

He criticised critics while calling the movie “very good” which is exactly the consensus from critics.
Also giving a movie like this a perfect score doesn’t mean it’s a perfect movie. Just means something achieves what is sets out to do.
I feel it often gets lost in reviews that people compare grades like they can always be compared 1:1. Ebert always had a great way of explaining how a 2.5/4 movie could be better than a 4/4 movie, but compared to what they set out to do the 4/4 movie would achieve better within its own genre etc.
It’s like eating the best McDonald’s burger you’ve ever had. Might be a perfect 10.
Meanwhile another movie might be a fairly good beef wellington worth 6/10 or something. Doesn’t mean the 10/10 is a better meal.
I think with critics this often gets lost in the shuffle. People see A Quiet Place getting a 95% on rotten tomatoes and they expect it to be one of the best movies ever when that’s not what they’re basing their judgment on.
Mainly I found the critique of critics weird when he said he disagreed with them and then in the same sentence agreed with most.

Apparently the four leads are:
Brad Pitt
Leo
Margot Robbie
and
Timothy Olyphant, whom I'm very excited to see in a Tarantino film. He's perfect for this ffs.

Just needs Walton Goggins and this cast is perfect. It's incomplete without him.

Yeah I read he was the first choice for Brad Pitt’s role.
They’re still looking for the Manson actor also.

Me might have a role. At this point I’d be more surprised if any actor wasn’t in this.
Pacino finally getting in good movies again is incredible though. Working with Scorsese and Tarantino now

That all star cast is something to salivate over. When is the movie coming out, late next year?
Fair point with the argument re: critics misunderstanding you made, Freeze.
