Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Wind River
The cinema literally became cold as well.
Easily one of the best films of the year due to writer/director Taylor Sheridan's continuous improvement in the craft of screenwriting and filmmaking. It unravels a mystery of a young 18-year old girl's heartless death. It takes its time with it, but it does not feel like a slow film at all. There's a twist in structure right before the final act that was a risky move, but it all worked well at the end. And the final act - well damn, you're in for a delightful violent treat. Its setting draws similarities to Chris Nolan's Insomnia, and its narrative can compete for multiple rounds with Denis Villeneuve's Prisoners. Through all of that, it offers suiting commentary on Native American marginalisation, femicide and hegemonic masculinity.

@Realgunner
Can you please ban this one. He's been trolling me for months on end. I can't stand it any more.
This would've never happened under RO's watch.

@Firenze @RealGunner and any other Korean film fans
Have you seen The Handmaiden? I watched it yesterday and it was pretty good. Its from the director of Old Boy. Very different to his other films but still great.

Sounds a bit like his 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' film. I didn't like that one but handmaiden looks better.

Tom Cruise in a Tarantino film that will be very interesting.
Hopefully though it doesn't come at the expense of seeing Pitt and DiCaprio together in a film.

Can't wait to watch it on 'day 4 months after American release, because that's when Europe gets Pixar movies'

Don't know about England though. Every country that dubs it comes out late because they need to dub for the children.

Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Just randomly watching some of the Borat scenes.
Still the greatest comedy I have ever seen ffs.
This film would not be able to survive in 2017 lol

I've tried that reference IRL.
Does not go over well, and then you have to explain it.

YESSS RG
Great timing, I just rewatched fellowship the other day and am hoping to finish the trilogy within the next week or two.
Forgot how *bleep* brilliant the films were. Feel like my memory is that fellowship is the weakest and yet I still loved every second
