Tbf Dany it's his first European performance with a new team he just got to and he's young, I thought he was trash as well but we can't be so hard on him this quickly. I don't think anyone expected him to make an instant impact (though tbf that's why I would have preferred to splash cash on Eriksen in a more needed area of the field but that's not relevant anymore), especially at the absolute highest level.

Anyway, I thought Semedo was absolutely terrific, Iniesta was classy in midfield as always in a big match, Busquets was pretty good when he wasn't left stranded in the midfield. Defense was good and Suarez was...alright. I think Barca played well but honestly it was almost more that Juve were so bad than Barca that good.

It was a match we never looked like winning.

Thankfully we got this match out of the way in September.

All the credit to Barca.

The problem with the game was that it was only Messi creating space and attacking threat. From the left side Alba was running a lot , but i fail to see any clear chance. Sauraz was bad today. Semedo had an awesome game , was contantly runnign back and forth. Doing what is needed. Dembele was poor , he was lost when does not have the ball. Was losing ball easily in the third half. Only problem i saw in the game was , it was only Messi creating chances , rest of the team were just not able to penetrate.

The only top experienced defenders Juve had available were Benatia and Barzagli, and Barzagli is 36 years old. De Sciglio is prone to mistakes and Sturaro is ok, but was playing on the wrong side for me when he replaced De Sciglio. Chiellini was missed and there still is no replacement for Bonucci. The excellent chances were missed so, a predictable result in retrospect.

De Sciglio, surprisingly, wasn't even that bad when he was on, he got injured which kind of sums up his career.

Surprised Chelsea is the third most expensive, thought City would be third, or PSG for that matter.

These are based on transfermarkt values though. Pretty sure the game have a tendency to undervalue players.

Im sorry but its really disrespectful towards Messi to compare him to an average player like Dybala. Laughing

Dybala is an overhyped player who believes in his own hype. Reminds me of Hazard

He actually comes off rather humble in his interviews/attitude on the field but the hype is a monstrosity

Didn't Hazard say that he was the best in the PL and stuff? Dybala is nothing like that so far. Too much hype for him, but he always speaks well and brushes it off. Works really hard on the pitch too.

Juve team news. Marchisio, Khedira, De Sciglio, Howedes and Pjaca are still out.

The midfield pair should be Pjanic-Matuidi. Barzagli, Chiellini and Sandro are confirmed in defense. Sturaro could play right back, or Barzagli in which case Benatia starts at CB. Last year's starters are expected in the attack.

Probable lineup
Buffon; Sandro, Chiellini, Barzagli, Sturaro; Matuidi, Pjanic; Mandzukic, Dybala, Cuadrado; Higuain

bench: Szczesny, Benatia, Rugani, Douglas Costa, Asamoah, Bernardeschi, Bentancur

Re: Dybala
A good number of people are still stuck with the stinky performance of him in the UCL final so the views expressed can be a bit one sided. He is overhyped but one can understand why, pretty talented footballer.

Gots no Jjuve player in my fantasy side so don't really have a vested interest in how they play or how they win.

Dybala's hype will only grow this season since he was given the 10 and is playing at a ridiculous level.

Champions League Group Stage - Group D - Page 3 Dybala10

Every season Dybala surprises me. Didn't expect him to be so good in the first season. Then didn't expect him to grow into the team as much as he did when his role got changed and he became a creator. Now he got the 10, a free-ish role and he became unplayable.
