Who will progress?
Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
Here we go again with Atleti PTB their way to wins. All these years and no team knows how to beat them.
Sigh, it will be up to us again it seems

Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
That Chelsea performance is the most dominant I've ever seen since Hiddink's spell.
Morata looked like a Torres regen tonight & Hazard completely outclassed Griezmann & looked like he had a point to prove tonight.
The 352 with Hazard off the striker & trio of Kante, Baka & Cesc is the way forward in big games it seems.

What is up with Griezmann's hair ffs?
Great result for us, we should make it out the group now.

Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
I hate that performance against Qarabag. Truly don't care that we won it. Inexcusable to virtually stop playing at 2-0 and just walk and jog the next 70 minutes. Disrespectful to the opponent and disrespectful to the shirt. This is why we can't have nice things ffs. I almost wanted Qarabag to equalize, would've been deserved.
That said, I really liked Chelsea's winner. The no-look pass in the build up was fantastic. It's almost like Chelsea fans are gonna have to start taking Batshuayi seriously.

Lad is a very good finisher. I don't think any Chelsea fan would deny that. Put him in the box in a good position and he'll likely put the ball in the net. It's every other aspect of his game that's rubbish. Hold up, passing, movement, pretty much everything else.

Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
Very tough group to call, i dont want Atleti to ruin our CL chances. But its looking like Roma might weasel their way to R16 then get banged 7-1 by City
Chelsea 6pts
Roma 4 pts
Atleti 1 pt
Qarabag 0pts

Atleti will probably beat Roma in Spain so they will be ahead. I think Atletico will end up qualifying over Roma.

Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
Roma's expected lineup.
Manolas, Schick, Defrel and El Shaarawy are doubts for the game. Strootman and Emerson are out.
Alisson; Kolarov, Jesus, Fazio, Peres; Pellegrini, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Perotti, Dzeko, Florenzi
Juan Jesus playing in CL, incredible every time. That Roma defense will get wrecked by a good Hazard. The midfield and attack should get a goal.

Never seen Simeone's Atleti play with such low intensity as against Qarabag

Looks like you might be right.
Chelsea 6
Roma 4
Atleti 2
Qarabag 1
If Roma get points vs chelsea in either game its pretty much over.

Simeone tried to use more flair players in the team and flopped lol.
Should have stuck to the grit and steel of Gabi and Tiago imo.

Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
Saul>>>>>Tiago.
Their problem in these CL games seems to be the lack of goals. Gameiro and Torres are far from good enough. Gaitan and Carrasco are cool but not very direct for scoring goals.
Its all on Griezmann to score.

Re: Champions League Group Stage - Group C
Does it? when is the last time Tiago was relevant? Saul was a starter from the season they made the CL final last.
I guess its trolling though, no one can think that Tiago was better.

Don't you think Tiago is more suited for a more defensive setup?
Dude was a beast everywhere except in Italy.
