That was Xhaka right? Poor desicion making. I like how Henry calls that sideways pass "the Arsenal pass"

I think he means the people that have copied him since his Barca days and obsess over possession even more than he does rather than Pep himself.
I could be wrong though, because if there's one thing Pep can't be accused of it's not creating chances lol.
I think when it comes down to it, 99% of coaches when analyzing games look at that pass and think it should have been played forward regardless of the 'philosophy'.
Feel like it comes down to player decision making at the end of the day.
Of course it does, a coach will implement his game plan or style of play and it's up to the players to execute the gameplan or style of play.
These people are not robots lol and can't follow instructions 100% of the time perfectly, for example i imagine in Pep's mind his ideal performance probably only happens once or twice a season if that.
I'd say that for most coaches too with any sort of nuance, there would be no point in coaches otherwise if players could do that.
To use another example, you'll have games this season like against Brighton were City were incredibly slow and in Pep's words " not enough dynamism" and they'll games more akin to Barca of old and while Pep may want to achieve that more regularly it's close to impossible.
The job of the coach is to make sure the players can perform as close to that when it matters as often as possible.
I thought Man Yoo played about as well as they have done in years last weekend, but i do expect their play to be as good as that very often? like hell i do.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
United need more from Matic and Pogba in these games. Not enough penetration from them so far.
Rashford looks good on the ball but has some made some poor decisions.
Swansea are defending well but aren't committing enough going forward. Need more from their wing-backs.

Rashford needs to stay on the bench for a month. He lost maybe 10 balls this first half. Pure shit.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Mkhi is not good enough. Being saying that for a while. The guy played well in a team where he was basically the main player. Just like Depay in PSV. Its criminal Martial is getting benched even after scoring and assisting for 10 minutes in the last game, more so for Mkhitaryan. Mourinho! Give us that customary 2nd season league title and just fk off.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
I agree on Mkhi. He scored some big goals for us last year, in the EL especially, but outside of a few moments I've never seen him perform for large spells in a game. We can do better. He will be a Juve player next season
