This thread is worthless without a witty subtitle.

talk should be about how chelsea might drop points now as their period of form has run out IMO

I'm not made of witty subtitles ffs
"A.k.a. Mole's suicide watch" is the best I can do.
boyzis wrote:talk should be about how chelsea might drop points now as their period of form has run out IMO
Well, they are facing the best manager of the league, so I'd say there's a very good chance they'll drop points

He is nothing short of sensational. 19 years ffs. Maybe already the best player in the league.

I think he is the most improved player in Europe in last year.
Incredible growth , maturity made by him , he was enough far from this a year ago

Awful derby between two very average teams
Was always going to take a set piece to win it.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V3
Standard of refereeing in this league is shocking, Liverpool and Everton both should have had penalties. A draw is a fair result to be honest, there wasn't much between the two teams. Liverpool huffed and puffed but din't create enough clear chances to win it. Jagielka's goal was a total fluke, he will never score one like that again

We needed to score more than one, but we just are so inefficient in attack this season. It's getting quite worrying as this is happening all the time now.
I don't know if it's just me, but he is losing the ball more often than last season and his decision-making at times is poor. I have a feeling he is getting ahead of himself a little, a step towards the basics would improve his current performances. A great player to have, don't get me wrong, but he's still very young and is still making some rather basic mistakes.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V3
Jagielka's goal was special.
Mike Dean is an awful referee. One of the worst if not the worst. He went with the "oh it's a derby so lets not give anything and let it go" mentality.
Liverpool should have won like 4 or 5-0. Balotelli was a bit shit. Sterling was very good and was impressed with Lallana's defensive game and tracking back.
For Everton Lukaku is a fraud.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V3
RG please
With a little bit of luck we would have scored a second goal when Mario hit the bar, but other than that, we were flattering to deceive.
A dozen half-chances <<<< two actually glorious chances.
Sterling wasn't that good, imo, he is losing the ball too often. A decent game still.
And what really made me go "rg please" is that saying that something about Lallana impressed, just no. He was bought to be a part of the solution to keep our attack going when we lost Suarez, but he's offered just nothing in attack.
Yeah, I'm a bit grumpy right now.

I was actually goinf to say with amount of dribbles he does, Sterling loses the ball astonishingly rarely.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V3
Man you guys had like 30 shots lol. Balotelli missed about 2 sitters. Sturridge would have had a hattrick.
Lallana's defensive game was really good. He is a very hard worker and that was impressive about him today. I don't think he is a Liverpool type CAM though. Sterling is better behind the striker than him. Lallana might be better off at LW/RW.
Players always struggle when they move up a level in their career, unless they are WC. Markovic was really struggling for example but that's normal. He will take his time. Lallana has always played in championships/midtable teams so he will have to step it up as well and they both are talented enough to do so.
From what I saw, Lallana has the tools to be important for Liverpool. But Liverpool as a whole are struggling atm so it's going to require patience. I don't know how everyone will fit in when Sturridge is back but at least you will start scoring again with him.

Caused a penalty as well I from what I'm reading (not watching this myself, watching Mehdrid). Dani wanted him badly for Barca. Now I'm not saying this is Mangala's standard but he's clearly got some flaws to iron out if this is how he clears a simple cross. Should never cost € 40M+.

United with dat grit and steel
Playing with RVP is like playing with a man down so when the demons inside Rooney decided to give him a break United ended up with two men down.
