Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 14
We've had 36 shots tonight, which the most we've recorded in a top flight game since Opta started doing the stats.
Put top four in front of us and we play like demons.

Someone needs to convince Wenger there is 4 magical teams above the actual 20.
That way Wenger will always be chasing top 4 even if they win every game

City have practically qualified for the CL, btw. They're three points ahead of us and will have at least +37 goal difference while we have +31. City losing to Watford and us beating Everton with a six goal swing is very unlikely.
Liverpool are the ones we can overtake. If they draw and we win we go above them.
Need Boro to park the biggest bus of all time.

If Liverpool lose 0-2 and Arsenal draw 1-1, this could go to a CL qualification play off

The other side of this is that we're now guaranteed 5th and Europa League group stage qualification. And Liverpool can get instant qualification for the CL groups if City drop points.
West Brom have scored. So a five goal swing is needed now.

Oh, and Utd can only finish 6th now.
Seems suitable for some reason.

Technically you have to hope we don't turn up because if we do it's not really "in your hands".

unless you turn up with a time machine that can bring the 90s Ajax side to the present day I don't think we have anything to worry about

How will you even survive losing the final? I'm seriously worried about your safety mate.

you might deserve a direct CL place more than us but a play off, no never...after beating you so convincingly over two legs, you guys dont deserve any play off against us.

I'd be shocked if United lost the final. Jose has only ever lost 1 final out of like 10 or so in his career. I think it would be safe to say his first year at United was a massive failure if they don't win that final.

Well, I am trying to imagine the consequences if we fk it up. and it safe to assume things wont go down well if it happens.
One more season of EL with Mourinho at the helm whose bloated ego not allowing him to take the competition lightly and rest players mean a season similar to this.
Not to mention the extortionate amount of money that will be paid to bring in more mercenaries and rejects from big clubs like a certain James and fill the team with square pegs from top to bottom.
DDG will certainly go (will go regardless it seems tho)
Plus the financial repercussions
One positive that could have come from missing out on CL, the club buying prospects and young talents and building a team for the future is offset by the fact that Mourinho is in charge.
So, all in all shit will happen.

only problem is we have a team of bottlers so it wouldn't shock me tbh
every time we had the opportunity to beat some jobber team and go above our rivals who had dropped points this season we failed to do so

Considering that your first choice CB's are out and considering that they have a Goldberg on their hands, it's safe to say that Smalling and Jones are NEXT !

Arsenal are destined to get 4th imo
Can see Liverpool typically bottling a 2 goal lead while Arsenal win their game
Arsenal are going to celebrate their 4th place la duodecima. I can feel it.
