Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
It was him and the guy who went on to be Umaga who were eric bishoffs enforcers for a bit
Then he went on to team with Hurricane
He really looks like Reigns.

yeah I remember him teaming with Hurricane but not much of his team up with Umaga for some reason, people said that was legit entertaining. Didn't know he was Reigns brother but yeah they look alike.

I don't have an issue with it inparticularly, i'm always saying they need to do a better job of using their talent. Even the jobbers, i would just prefer they build these guys up then having them lose to Mojo Rawley twice in a row and then he's in a WWE title match.
They did the same thing with Ziggler last year, people were supposed to be expected to believe in him after years of jobbing.
It's the same thing here, also if they really want to test these guys out don't put them in the first 30 minutes of the show and actually put them in the main event.
It might be the WWE title but it's not main event tbh, the US title has main evented the show two weeks running and the WWE title had less tv time than the women lol.
If you want to make people believe in this, actually make them close the show and go full on into it instead of still treating it like a jobber section of the show.
The fact they are not doing that and the US title is the main event programme which is closing the show tells me they don't actually believe in this all that much.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Miz told Ambrose during their segment that he didn't break through the glass ceiling because he's lazy and complacent. Went from WWE champion and no 1 draft pick to pre show of Mania. Meltzer say's when something like that is said, somebody backstage is actually thinking that.

I dunno if he's lazy but he's definitely complacent.
Outside of Styles feud he's been utterly boring to me and hardly adapt his character.
He's been stale AF for ages, Ironically Miz has been anything but.

I'm not even mad at it tbh.
I find it more hilarious than anything else, also according to Meltzer the Mahal push was supposed to go to Rusev.
Makes sense tbh.

"There are people backstage in WWE that are applauding Jinder Mahal for the hard work he’s put in since returning to WWE last year. People that know him say that he is taking this run very very seriously, and he is “working his ass off” to make sure he is given opportunities within the company. That hard work has paid off because he is the next challenger for the WWE Championship at WWE Backlash."

Not that i'm complaining because I want people to go nuts and hurt each other (Don't judge me) but is that the message to send to the locker room
You spend your entire life training to take bumps safely, and execute moves savely and with teamwork but when you get to the 'E you throw that all out the window, work stiff, roid up and injure talent.
Would make for awesome short term viewing as a match slowly progresses into an actual fight live on air but long term 'tis not good at all

Seriously though one of AJ Styles first matches in the company he literally knocked Miz's teeth out of a springboard forearm lmao.
I think it's safe to say Vince loves this shit, to him it proves your a REAL MAN and have RUTHLESS AGRESSION. (In Vinces voice)

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
considering I keep up with this thread more than the actual shows, is it true Luke Harper has been getting a push and hype by commentary lately? seen ppl saying he's a for sure future champion
I liked him when I watched regularly but I do believe he will probably just get back with Bray and become a lackey again in the near future

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
He's dropped some weight, and changed his look a bit. He basically looks like roman reigns with a bigger beard now
Yeah he's probably gonna main event smackdown at some point but whether he stays there or is just a filler feud for somebody depends really
I think his intro music is shit, and he needs to be given more promo time. The precious little he had to say with Bray was delivered really well.

He was getting organically over during the Orton and Wyatt build, to the point i wanted their match to be a triple threat and fans were chanting "luke luke luke" constantly.
He was really entertaining and could go in the ring, they were hyping the *bleep* out of him on commentary and had promising performances even in losses to Orton and Styles.
No idea if they have actual plans for him but i was really impressed and hope they push him. I'd have zero issues if they made him US champion over the summer tbh.
Also Tom is right, the promo time they did give him was delivered well. I really do want to see more of it.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
There was also an incident involving another non-wrestler who was well known to have a close family member dying, and had missed two weeks due to a minor operation. Layfield went off on missing the shows, harassing the person and saying how he didn’t miss any shows after hernia surgery. The person noted that this wasn’t the week to do this, and he didn’t stop until the person was in tears.
