Re: Liverpool Flopping
They have, indeed, only won one in their last eight in all comps:
Sunderland 2 - 2 Liverpool (PL)
Southampton 1 - 0 Liverpool (EFL Cup)
Liverpool 0 - 0 Plymouth (FA Cup)
Plymouth 0 - 1 Liverpool (FA Cup replay)
Manchester United 1 - 1 Liverpool (PL)
Liverpool 2 - 3 Swansea (PL)
Liverpool 0 - 1 Southampton (EFL Cup)
Liverpool 1 - 2 Wolves (FA Cup)
You can dismiss the cup games as insignificant, but needing two games to get past a League 2 team and getting dumped out by a midtable PL team and a Championship team should be concerning for Liverpool. Not only does it show a lack of depth in the squad to handle straightforward cup ties against lower league opposition, but it also damages confidence in the squad. And what should also be concerning is the decline in their attack and how easy it's been for teams to defend against them now.
As for the league, though, I wouldn't say Klopp is flopping yet. Realistically Liverpool's target is finishing in the top four and they're still set to accomplish that. January has been a blip but with Mane coming back and Coutinho getting fitter they should find form again soon.

Re: Liverpool Flopping
Well obviously they've been in bad form but I don't see anything that would really concern me (if I cared enough about Liverpool to be concerned). It's probably easy to forget but Liverpool are just NOT a top team. Last season they finished 8th I think. What do you actually think happens when a midtable team is out of form and struggles with injuries? That they don't win 3 games and just return to their winning ways after that? That's bad form for Barca and Bayern but certainly not Liverpool. If they finish 4th it's a massive success.

Luckily for them, they have a good record on big games and those big games are all home

Re: Liverpool Flopping
Every man and his cat knew that Mane was leaving for AFCON in January and this period is the most important period of football in England. Many a team have lost their seasons during this period.
Out misfortune compounded when best player in the league Coutinho pretty much suffered a season ending injury (ending any chance he could carry over his goat form for many months) and best CB in the league Matip fell in a controversy with Cameroon over retirement and got injured.
Going into a season with a threadbare squad like ours it was always going to collapse. No team can hope to win or stay competitive without their 3 best players. There's absolutely no debate that our 3 best players are Coutinho, Mane, and Matip. Firmino and Lallana are complementary players around those 3 stars. It's no surprise that without Coutinho for 2.5 months Firmino did absolutely horseshit. At this point Lallana is gassed and I'm surprised he's not in a hospital bed with IV drips sticking out of his arms.

Not when your 3 best players will take another month to get anywhere close to their autumn level of play.
Title was for the taking and like always we bottled it.

Not bad considering Moyes took over a title winner and Klopp a midtable club

Re: Liverpool Flopping
However, Moyes is a CL specialist with a superior win ratio to Klopp in that competition (50% to 47%).

It's not. Just take a look at Liverpool's 2017 games.

Re: Liverpool Flopping
Liverpool so funny, all of their fans get so excited until this time of the season until they eventually slip.
Kind of like the Arsenal fans of old, until they realised that 4th place was a trophy to them

This is actually the first time its happening or its that bad. We've always gone on 10 games unbeaten runs post February.
Poor Banter aside, Klopp needs to realize he can't play Lucas at CB and expect to win, Both goals he had a hand in conceding.
