'Rüdiger' is actually a first name (= Roger) and it is probably the most out-of-fashion, undesirable, unattractive German male first name of all.

There's always fashions and retro trends with kids' names, after years of Christians, then Philipps, then Jonases and Lukases lately even some Wilhelminist antique names like Friedrich or Wilhelm came back into fashion.
I could imagine Hipster parents calling their son Herbert, or Gustav.

It's a great 'deal' regarding the money figures, but I fail to see what sense his signing makes in terms of our team.

Where will he play? Ancelotti's poverty shit-on-a-stick 4-3-3 already has no place for Müller.
A 4-2-3-1 with Thiago-Vidal double pivot and Müller in his best position worked better, but was not preferred by Ancelotti.
If Ancelotti switches formations to accomodate James yet leaves Müller out he will be walking a tight rope Laughing

Not to mention that I can't see James producing anywhere near the output Müller produces when played in his position.

I do remember James performed really well for Ancelotti initially when Bale was injured, where did he play? As some kind of right attacking midfielder right?

I can certainly see your point but then again I think this might be a problem on paper only as it's not unlikely that you'll (almost) never have a fully fit squad.
So while fitting James in could be tough if everyone is fit that might be a different story as soon as injuries hit and I guess that always happens.

Well we'll see what Ancelotti has planned for him. Maybe he's considered more of a backup considering it's a loan.
