Who will advance to the quarter-finals?

Good to see them put back to their level.
Not just the team but also the coach. Overhyped to the moon by Serie A fanboys all over the Internet. All style but not enough substance.
Glad to see them getting exposed like the provincial team they are.
Also Morata silencing those clowns. What a lovely moment

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Whoever said this Napoli team was better than Mazzarri's heyday team needs to absolutely suck a tit, Callejon in 2017 , at least they managed to destroy Chelsea at home and had a legitimate chance of progressing, this is just embarrassing. Credit to Madrid as is due, but Napoli went to waste the whole game despite dominating them, signs of a frigid team thats bound to break the first indication of retaliation

Sarri wrote:"We get the feeling we are not that far off [the top clubs]," Sarri told Mediaset Premium. "We dominated the best team in the world for 55 minutes. If we can grow, become more physical, then we can become competitive at this level too.
"It's a young squad, it has a bright future ahead of it. That final step is the hardest, but I get the feeling we can do it.
"Real Madrid are a very strong side; you need a lot of luck to keep the tie open and a bit of luck on the post to put us 2-0 up would have given us more fuel.
"It would have been tough anyway against the reigning champions of Europe and the world, but dominating them for 55 minutes gives us hope for the future."

Well, I would say yes and then say you need to actually capitalise on said dominance.

Surprised to see how much Napoli dominated the first half, but they chouldnt keep it up or just gave up after Ramos goal. Ffs this guys just keeps doing it
At least Napoli did give it a good go and showed their qualities, but Real were just a class above over the two legs.

How is that nostalgia working for you? That Mazzarri team collapse against a much poorer Chelsea. This just sounds like frustration because of how bad Milan are now.

That 'much poorer' Chelsea went on to win the CL, and you make it sound as if they didn't put in a fight, it finished 5-4 not 6-2. Dunno why you mention Milan when it isn't relevant to the discussion, if you like them so much why don't you support them? Better yet, lets support Serie A all together now (:

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Here what the 2nd most popular sports newspaper ( read expecially in South ) writes after yesterday
But Napoli have won !
Provinciale mentality.
After an aggregate 6-2 ffs I remember when we were put before a judge because of a knock out against Manchester United under SAF ( and 2:0 aggregate )
That' s why Napoli will never be a great club.
And that' s why Inter and Milan must play in CL in place of them.
They have nothing to do with elite football.

Stay salty ES. I'm just not blind about it. Not only is this team better coached than Mazzarri's, they are better in literally every position except for Cavani. No amount of Napoli scrubbing it will make Milan good

Roma are also terrible in Europe.
I don't think i've seen them past the CL quarter finals in my lifetime.

This is exaggerated. Napoli destroyed madrid in the first half and could have gone 2-0 at halftime. Then two corners changed the game.

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Correction: they could've gone in 2-1 which would suit us more than them. That said yes they absolutely destroyed us in the first half and teams will keep destroying us until we get rid of that front 3, they are a liability

Hala, we also need a coach that can adapt strategies as well as some changes in personnel. I'm afraid if we do get thru in CL and liga, these changes won't be made. Only a trophy less season will convince Flo to shake this up
And as it stands now, we will likely loose Isco, Pepe, Morata, James for next season

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
I mean, I get the glass is half full mentality but that's absolutely delusional. Napoli lost, succumbed to 2 set pieces easily and went out 6-2 on aggregate. For all their huff and puff in the 1st half (and most Madrid fans would tell you they totally deserved their lead), they went out in a serious whimper.
