The Portugal international also comes out on top when it comes to pass percentage in the opposition half (93.85%) and in terms of passes into the final third of the pitch (91.75%). There really is no end to his talents, other than the actual creation and scoring of goals.

But then, it's important not to get too bogged down in such things. The other stats speak for themselves: clearly Andre Gomes is the new Xavi. It's high time Messi and the rest of the world accept it.

I already announced goal.com being a Madrid mouthpiece and Gomes being a Portuguese saboteur on the logical patterns I've seen countless times without exception. Gomes not only is the worst Barca player ever, but he actually seems to play against Barca in the field when it matters.

lol another thing to add to our gl conspiracy theory list....florentino, the overseeing evil one, refdrid, the argentine fa and now andre gomes too is in on the party? lmao....interesting. what a tangled web we weave. this is even more diabolical than i thought. we have the corrupt argentine fa who does everything in their capacity for their nation to lose, for the sole purpose of upsetting messi. now his teammate andre gomes is part of this plot too?

i'll add terstatue to that list, for making people believe passing to his defenders was just as important as making saves. he too must be in on this conspiracy to upset messi
