no matter what medical team one brings, it won't save guys like bale coentrao marcelo pepe james et al from getting their regular dose of injuries. imo some of these guys need Jesus, not another new medical staff yet again.

I remember Pepe earlier in his career. He used to get injured every other game. He has definitely improved. He doesn't get injured very often. Even Marcelo, he can get his injuries sometimes but he rarely misses 3 games in a row. Bale, Coentrao and Benz are the only players who get injured constantly imo

I mean this season you have guys like Casemiro, Kroos and Ramos getting injured long term. These guys never get injured but did this season. Kroos' was only picked up by the German NT doctors. I think that sums up our medical team quiet nicely

I think both of you are right. None of us are completely satisfied with our medical team, and I think we wouldn't suffer this many injuries if we had competent doctors.

But on the other hand, we got to admit that we have many players who, aside from being injury-prone, don't look after themselves and don't behave the way a professional athlete should.

Take a guy like Benzema for instance, he spent the whole summer resting and yet he showed up injured. He should've been in perfect shape with the amount of rest he got.

And then you have Coentrao, a guy who needs a new adjective to be invented specifically for his condition because "injury-prone" has become an understatement at this point.

Then you have players like Ronaldo who look after their bodies, train constantly and eat healthy, and as a result, rarely ever get injured.

I hate our medical team as much as the next guy, but this unprecedented injury plague is not entirely their fault. Our players are also partly to blame here. They should look after themselves and start acting like professional athletes.

Some of them though are too old to change, which is why I believe guys like Benzema and Coentrao are a lost cause. Let's just hope our younger guys are more inclined to follow Ronaldo's example than Benzema's.

Well, that was a silly first half. Even Modric's passing is a bit erratic since it was bad pass the led to Sporting's only goal so far.

Danilo is doing Danilo things which is essentially nothing. Pepe and Ramos are trying but you can see they are both lacking that match fitness needed. Benzema may as well just go in the stands and shelter from the rain before he catches a cold. James is, well, what Nick wrote.

Other than that, a normal, error filled Madrid first half. Expect us to score 2-3 more before we start playing in the rain again.
