Pretty sure morphing your voice from 'Allaaah' into those 'aaahhaaa' orgasm noises should be considered severe blasphemy and accordingly punished

Probably best game I've watched this season. That kind of football only Barca can play.

Mourinho would have been proud. Also, absolutely sneaky of Busquets (and typically despicable but Lord knows defending in La Liga can be).

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Another reminder tonight that the Copa del Rey has the worst format for a cup competition in existence.
Sevilla were 5-1 up from their first leg against third division Formentera. Currently 6-0 up at half-time in the second leg. So it's 11-1 on aggregate.
Just, what's the point of these second legs?

its like this so the top 4 can shit on the away leg with a B team and if they screw up there is always the return with A-team players

but the money for the away match is useful for the smaller teams. they take the entrance fee for granted. oh well

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Sevilla won 9-1 on the night and 14-2 on aggregate Vietto and Ben Yedder both got hat-tricks.
Two legged ties like this dilute the spirit of competition. Why should a small team bother to try and beat a bigger one if they know there's a second leg so the bigger team can make up for it if they *bleep* up?
Money has little to do with it since the attendance at the RSP last night was in four figures.

Alwayas been a limited player, albeit hard working... Why are you realizing that so late into the party

Loool waste indeed, I guess its a chance for the top teams to field their backup players occasionally

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Not so much limited, do not think he is. Just that he is meant for a style of play that really and truly isn't what Barcelona do i.e a more vertical style of play. Was not a coincidence he really showed his talents when Barcelona played a more direct approach during their treble year.
Also, CDR used to be a one legged affair up until the Round of 16 I reckon. They changed it in the 06/07 season to make the this round that just passed a 2 legged affair. I guess because Madrid kept getting KO'd in it.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
I knew we had been pitted against a very tough team the second I realized there was no whining from you-know-who about "refdrid".
I guess Flo was so focused on overturning the ban that he didn't think about saving some money for the CDR draw.

Regardless of how relevant the cup is, a harder opponent team is more likely to result in more fatigue and a higher chance of injury, as a consequence that may affect performance in other matches as well.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Prandelli has resigned from Valencia.
I'm thinking that they'll go down. They're in complete disarray right now - no manager, captain ostracised by fans, and several players not giving a crap. They've become the Spanish Newcastle.

I still remember this guy trashtalking italians football fans/culture after he flopped at WC 14 and resigned from the job.
Yea, that was the problem. Good luck finding a job after 3 consecutive failures.

This would've been the ideal time to get Benitez. Caparros is available right? Seems like an obvious choice

Caparros joined Osasuna.
Maybe they could get Marcelino. Then again any manager they get is doomed with how that club is being run.
