Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Exactly, second time in a row in Mestalla, second time in a row Liga Florentino Perez is accusing the victim.

Barca fans, I understand that they are your players, but you just cannot deny how cringe their acting was after the fans threw the bottle. Just terrible, and by a group of grown men no less.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
i don't think anyone is saying that it wasn't a over reaction.
the point is this bottle throwing has happened two season in a row in the same camp, they over reacted so something can be done, instead the president says they dived instead of dealing with the problem.
instead of dealing with bottle throwers they fine barca for having catalan flags
just seems a bit one sided.

Juventus fans, I understand that you hate Barca players, but you just cannot condone violence. By not acknoledging the violence, concentrating on acting, you make your respect level very clear. There's none, hence my actions towards you on average.

Your players should learn a thing or 2 from our players. I love how Liga Perez appointed this reff to give a yellow to a blatant headbutt. If that was a Barca player he would have rolled all the way out to the changing room and they wouldn't stop going about it in the media. But since it was us it was forgotten about the next minute.

That the reff gave nothing for a blatant headbutt or was that just an accidental collision in your opinion

Sporting Gijon vs Sevilla is the early game today. Sevilla will go back top with a win. Their team:
Rico; Mercado, Carrico, Rami; Mariano, Nasri, N'Zonzi, Vazquez, Vitolo; Ben Yedder, Vietto
Sporting's team:
Cuellar; Lillo, Mere, Amorebieta, Canella; Moi, Sergio, Cases, Isma; Cop, Vigeura
Sporting haven't won in seven league games but Sevilla have a poor record at their ground.

The players' reaction was ridiculous (if somebody claims otherwise then they are not the brightest bulb around) but what's also pathetic is that the Leauge's president focused more on the reaction itself while he should have condemned the fans' actions first and foremost- because it's his fu-cking job -- to protects the players. Instead, his response was mainly aimed at the acting. Yes, it was an exaggerated reaction but they did get thrown at with several objects and that should be most important for Tebas (the president).

Rico makes the most of an underhit back pass and it ends up in a goal
dat touch from Ben Yedder to set Vietto away.

BC sure if you want to compare La Liga refs to some 3rd world refs. But they are the worst refs in the top 4 leagues easily. So much worse than PL and Bundes. Easily the worst linemen of any league
I could maybe hear an argument for bundes and serie a but than PL? The difference is not at all what you make it out to be, the leagues are pretty close in ref quality. For instance today I watched Spurs - Bournemouth and the ref gave a yellow for pretty minor offenses but ignored all the clear cut reds.
Just watching the Valencia Barca highlights. No way Bundesliga refs are anywhere near this terrible. No *bleep* way.
La Liga refereeing is a disgrace and it casts a huge shadow on the whole competition. Barca getting gifted goals left and right.

Same in Italy. Since Calciopoli everything is put under the microscope in Serie A. Besides the inevitable wrong calls here and there, reffing is good.

Apparently, Barça fans going to chant "Tebas, go now" in 12th minute today. Lots of other fans have been doing that for ages.

Sporting have grown in confidence and are not letting Sevilla dictate. Sevilla's defenders are making too many mistakes as well. They're in a precarious situation.
