I've only seen Season 1 of Mad Men. Loved it. Just never got around to continue it.

Wonder if anyone's thought about creating a TV show based on Nightcrawler.

Dusk Till Dawn, Taken, Limitless, few others
From Dusk Till Dawn isn't bad at all tbh. Fascinating backstory based on Ancient Aztec mythology. The characters are a tad wooden (except for the Gecko bros.) and plot plods and thuds at times, but it's been entertaining so far. I'm caught up.

It definitely got much better as it progressed, in my opinion.

If for whatever reason you can't get enough of Worst Actress in the World Lori from Walking dead, then the second season of Colony is airing now.

Finished The Crown on Netflix. It really is quite good. I thought it would be some award bait average drama but I ended up really liking it. The cinematography, authenticity and acting is excellent. Churchill was the highlight of the show. Kinda wish they instead made a biopic series on Churchill. John Lithgow is a tremendous actor.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Contemporary history like what's portrayed in the Crown is something I find truly boring. I will eventually watch it, but it will be more for Lithgow than for any other reason.
I have little interest in this show for the same reason I have little interest in the Americans. Boring historical periods and subjects.
On another historical TV note, I did give Jason Momoa's Frontier a go. 6-episodes so it was easy to binge. I liked it quite a bit for what it tried to portray. Violent and visceral, gritty and gutteral.
Though it kinda confirms for me that Momoa is the Roman Reigns of acting. Has the look and the mannerisms....until he opens his mouth. This role for him (dark, brooding, feral-like male lead) is a little too similar to what Tom Hardy's doing with Taboo, although accelerated faster and with less depth.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
So... I'm a horrible person, but I can't stop laughing at this:
http://splitsider.com/2016/08/this-seinfeld-911-spec-script-is-insane-and-incredible/
A The Onion writer wrote a Seinfeld episode set right after 9/11 and it captures each character so perfectly. I just went though the entire script and I could easily picture each one in my mind.
Rough outline:
-George is jealous of the hero status of firemen so he pretends to be a first responder
-Seinfeld grows increasily paranoid about the dust in nyc
-Elaine struggles to break up with her current boyfriend - a WTC survivor
-Kramer finds out the terrorists used his box cutter during the hijacking and sets out on a quest to get reimbursement for it
