Yeah so I'm told James, I know enough about Seinfeld to get the references, but as a show it just didn't hold my attention. As for Friends...was never my cup of tea. Just like Big Bang Theory and HIMYM aren't either.

You should try to watch Arrested Development Mc. The epitome of intelligent comedy.

Curb your Enthusiasm happened because of Seinfeld.
If you love that then watch Seinfeld you will be beyond loving it.

Thoroughly enjoyed that show. Had the biggest crush on Maeby.
I think I got through the 1st season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but didn't really continue on with it. That was years and years ago though so I might give that another go.

Yeah it got hyped because it's Netflix most expensive production ever. Looked shit to me.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
only the UK lads will really appreciate it but I've been watching a lot of The Inbetweeners reruns lately, unreal show - can't believe it only ran for a couple of years ffs. Liked the first movie, second was fairly meh. So maybe that was a good time for it to end, but it was so accurate and authentic feeling. Classic show. Also can't believe it has been 6 years since it ended.

Loved the show. Liked the second movie more than the first though.

It's in my top 5 of all time easily. Seen it 6-7 times now and it's without a doubt the best comedy i have ever seen. It's a lot more than a sitcom. It so accurately shows British school culture. Everything about it is authentic. All the characters and their chemistry.
They did the right thing to end it then tbh. Remember reading that they all thought the jokes were getting a bit repeatable and they wanted to avoid that and end it on a high. Also that they all didn't look high schoolers.

Loved Inbetweeners. It really was a brilliant show. I'm with Firenze, I loved the first movie but didn't really like the second one.
This scene will always remain a classic.

Inbetweeners was sooooo good. I'm not British, and even I could relate to some of it.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I think I stopped watching it after the 1st season. British American Pie.
It is funny though. I just have to watch that in doses. It's not bingeable for me.
Still haven't gotten around to watching the rest of the series or the movie though.

Inbetweeners was amazing. Seen all the seasons and the movies. So funny. It's just teenagers being portrayed like actual teenagers for once, not like other movies where they are all some deep philosophical thinkers with the dialogue they are given

They actually improvised quite a lot and wrote some of the scenes themselves. They had creative freedom which was nice.
