I like your group D, too. Gladbach vs Celtic would be a fan's dream match-up, atmosphere wise. ^^

Re: 2016/17 Champions League group stage draw
All I want is for Arsenal and Sevilla to be drawn on different days.
Oh, and to avoid Barca and Bayern. If we're going to be embarressed by a big club I'd rather it be Juve or Madrid this time.

Group E is interesting, PSG-Atleti should be a good watch as well, as is LCFC-Sevilla. But by far the best tie will probably be Celtic-Arsenal, Rodgers dismantling Wenger will provide enough bantz to power an obscure Balkan state for 2 weeks

Re: 2016/17 Champions League group stage draw
Hope PSG get a tough draw. They need the extra competition since they don't get it in the league... hard to figure out what you need to improve if you're rarely challenged.
Monaco's fate depends on the health of Falcao, Moutinho, Bernardo Silva and Germain. Defense and defensive midfield is fine. Thomas Lemar is pretty good too. They'll make it competitive in pool lay.
Lyon is an unknown to me. If Fekir gets back to top form and Lacazette stays hot, they could be dangerous.

I just don't want Atletico, the games against them are infuriating. I don't that kind of frustration in my life

Re: 2016/17 Champions League group stage draw
Can you resize the picture please? It's too large. I can easily see it when I'm using my PC and my 23.7' inch screen, but now I am using my laptop and it is too large for its screen. Also, I can copy the image address and open it in a new tab to see it, but I don't want to do this every time somebody posts high resolution pictures on GL. Take care of this in the future! Thanks!ES wrote:Group E is interesting, PSG-Atleti should be a good watch as well, as is LCFC-Sevilla. And here's my draw:
Gladbach and Leverkusen could have big problems against Sporting and Sevilla in this scenario. I don't know much about Sporting Lisbon's actual team, but my intuitiveness leads me to believe they can upset Leverkusen.
Plus, it is time for Sevilla to show what they're worth of and win some big matches in UCL. They have the quality.
Groups G & H are incredible.
+ big big thanks for resizing that picture!

Re: 2016/17 Champions League group stage draw
Would rather not see a repeat of Juve-Sevilla-BMG after last year
Don't want to see Sevilla-BMG in any group really. Faced them enough times over the last couple of years.

Re: 2016/17 Champions League group stage draw
Gladbach only messed up against Sevilla in the first match of the CL group stage last season, which was when Gladbach had their infamous five serial defeats-in-the-BL run, too.
The second match against Sevilla looked far better - then they won a convincing 4:2 at home. As for Juve - dunno how many people remember, but Gladbach held Juve to two draws in the CL group. They were actually much better than their 4th place finish in the group suggested.

In about 2 hours from now.
Apparently according to various sources, this is the first team to be picked out of this year's draw
