this was lacking in Mafia 2 despite the scenario immersion being flawless. once the story is done all you can do in Empire Bay is lurk around searching "Wanted" posters...

They have already been confirmed that fleshing out the open world with interesting things to do has been a key point for the games design.

I agree though, the open world might as well have not existed in Mafia 2 as all I ever did for the most part was travel from mission to mission lol.

I mean i did explore it a little bit because I enjoyed the driving and the city itself was nice, as well as the fact I was a completionist whore back then and wanted all the playboy mags and wanted posters.

But it was pretty much dead outside the story.

Completion whore here as well, i even earned the platinum trophy back then. Was a very boring one, main missions apart.

And yes i hope they will bring back the radio in cars, mafia 2 radio list was short yet lovely. It's New Orleans ffs, can't believe they would not put a jazzy soundtrack for the rides !
