It is interesting to know that our defensive stats have improved with every season and Puyol has been central to that,especially seeing our results with and without him in the team. The Clasico of 09/10 will live long in our memories as in such a close title race and against an on song CR and Kaka combo, the rock that was Puyol repelled them both with last ditch tackle and was deservedly MOM in a season defining game.
Our team will be at a huge loss without him and the Spanish NT even moreso,lMO,judging by their defensive problems when he isn't there(remember 4-Goal drubbings by Argies and Portugal? And the recent loss to Italy?)
