also signing ricky lambert for 4m is the same as buying a player for 20m in this current market

benteke will sell for £30mil. he is young and is proven in the prem lge. so a £2MIL  loss is not the end of the world is it.

On a serious note: Bacca is great and he has proven it time and time again. With a poor Milan team he had a good return and he was just as good for Sevilla before it.

You don't expect your signing to flop straight away. He can and probably will get a solid goal return. If not, well you can *bleep* him off to China in 1 years time.

coutinho is fine. but he is a player that only plays well when the team play well.

true. but Henderson is a far better player than cleverly. plus we have to wait and see if klopp rates Henderson as high as Rodgers did. its klopps first window and making 6-7 changes to the team in one window is not a wise thing to do. at the moment klopp knows exactly what he will get from Henderson every week. I think Henderson can be replaced at a later date.

They are definitely the biggest teams that have consistently been signing scrubs. No clubs with such history have fallen into overpaying for average players as much as these two for so long. At least in recent years (before someone says Steaua or something). These 2 were in the CL final twice against each other not long ago. Now they could benefit from changing almost the entire 11.

Im not hating on the club/fans btw. Im hating on the poor transfer policies that have brought great clubs down.
