Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Sevilla's president confirms Krychowiak to PSG is happening. Fee expected to be around €30mil.
Has also confirmed interest in Kranevitter and Ganso.
Gameiro is staying, too. He's viewed as more important than Krychowiak (Sampaoli isn't convinced by Krycho's passing, apparently).

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Meunier to PSG is almost done too
So the starting 11
Trapp
Aurier-Marquinhos-Silva-Kurzawa
Krychowiak
Verratti-Matuidi
Di Maria-Pastore
Cavani
Bench
Sirigu
Meunier-somebody-Luiz-Maxwell
Motta
Rabiot-Stambouli
Lucas Moura-Ben Arfa
somebody
They'll fill the 4th CB spot with a youth teamer. All they need is a backup CF.

Read on Barca's official twitter account with their President saying Neymar will renew shortly and that they have a budget of €60M + income from sales.
And there were people here who were convinced they had a pre-deal with Pogba or something.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Well they did until their finances went down the drain... they messed up and are behind on renewing or getting new sponsorship deals and they got fined for tax evasion on the Neymar deal.
Barca isn't hurting in terms of their balance sheet obviously. They just have immediate term cash flow issues due to awful planning.
Their biggest concern is to renew Neymar's contract and then everything else flows downstream. So when Bartomeu says they only have 60 mil... it's probably because Neymar is about to get really paid and it limits them.

Why is that? I havent seen enough of Batshuayi at club level.
Icardi to me looks like the real deal, he is scum as a person, but his football is top level. A 23 year old that performs this well and is this consistent in Serie A is rare. He gets maybe 1 chance per game with Inter and he scores it, add it to that that this season he became much more than a finisher. With the lack of service he tracks back, he participates in the build up, he passes well, he will be a complete forward. Now he also acts like a proper captain on the pitch at 23. And while Inter is no Madrid, there is still tons of pressure and he doesn't seem bothered at all by it, he has that "big game player" thing about him and he scores against Juve every single time.
Skillful, deadly finisher, great movement, great work rate, shit attitude. Reminds me a lot of Eto'o.
This, I think Icardi's biggest detriment is his attitude and the fact he's been playing with dog shit Inter teams that average 5 shots per game, yet his numbers are still very good. He would shine elsewhere.

They said the same thing when they signed Suarez
Not sure why people still believe the shit that comes out of these executives mouths. Every single one of them are liars and constantly make up crap to support their own agenda.

If they need to they'll get closer to that than 60m.
The idea they are struggling for cash every year and every year they make a big signing
Straight delusion.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Batshuayi is a predictable bust.
He had one great goal streak at the beginning of the season then collapsed like the rest of his poor side Marseille. To me the hype was over then. He has his good days sometimes, i admit that, but he still lacks a lot to succeed in Premier League. No regularity, no physical play, yes selfish attitude. I don't expect him to have much more success than Remy had for Chelsea, but i might be wrong, of course.
Icardi seems like a much better prospect, for the reasons said above. He's a AAA-class douche tho. Sad to see how things turned out for Maxi Lopez

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
You can't be serious. Batshuayi's record
At age 20, 23 goals for Standard Liege as a starter
At age 21, backup to Gignac exclusively for 10 goals
At age 22, 23 goals for OM as a starter
He's super consistent, very young AND a very good finisher at a young age. Marseille were absolutely AWFUL and he still scored. Lass was the creative force on the team
Heck, he even scored 4 goals in 7 Europa League games this season.
No idea what you're talking about. He put up stats with little to no help. It's a massive blow to Marseille that he's leaving but he's better than the club deserves right now.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Most of his goals were scored on various sequences, against teams from weak-ass Ligue 1.
9 goals in Ligue 1 since november It's not because he was the less shitty player at OM (i mean let's be honest the whole season was a mess) that he is top-class. Let's not put the Standard Liege stats into the puzzle please.
I watched some matches from Marseille (not all of them, but i'd say at least 15) Most of the time he didn't even seem to me like a good finisher, at all. Sometimes has a spark of genius for ten minutes, then disappears.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Ligue 1 gets one month off for the winter break lol. So he scored 8 goals in 3 months to start the season and 9 goals in the last 5 months in Ligue 1 for his total of 17 league goals. And why did his scoring all off? Michel completely lost the team and we were PATHETIC for that stretch. Once he got fired and Passi took over, we were less pathetic and managed not to get relegated. It was a circus for 4 months (December until Michel got fired).
And Ligue 1 is a very defensive league so it's hard to put up big numbers. Before Ibra, nobody had scored 30 goals in the league since Papin in 1989-1990. Many world class strikers went through the league over that span and couldn't.
Just to put it in perspective.... Benzema scored 23 goals all comps like Batshuayi his last season at Lyon before leaving for Real Madrid. And he had a MUCH better team. Not even saying that Batshuayi is anywhere near as talented as Benzema... but it just shows how hard it is to score.
I've been a OM fan for 30 years. You know nothing of what you speak.

Leicester could offer £30mil for Troy Deeney
Andros Townsend headed to Palace for £13mil. Newcastle will recoup whatl they spent on him.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Of course Michel has lost the team. He was a stubborn coach with no intention at all for his club, other than polishing his own star before going elsewhere.
Batshuayi is a striker, yeah he scores sometimes. He was a factor for Marseille not being relegated for scoring against Angers. Round of applause.
I'm not trying to discredit you at all. I get your point, he was the best player on a struggling OM team. He is still young, it is hard to predict his future, because he IS talented. But imo he is overhyped and will not succeed much at Chelsea.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. II
Ligue 1's level of play has decreased a lot since the end of the Lyon era. It is defensive minded league, because there is no more talent in this league anymore. Most talented players, do not stay long in France anymore. Look at their performances in European cups, over the recent years. I don't think scoring in Ligue 1 is harder than scoring on BPL.
Nowadays the only team who is a perpetual threat is PSG.

Understands that him leaving Newcastle got them relegated so he gives them a recoup
