I *bleep* hate that idiot. He's the other major reason (other than new PL TV deals) the transfer market has inflated so much over the past 2-3 years with the Pogba and Martial deals.

Tbf the market has been inflating for years now. Won't be long till a WC player will be costing 200M tbh
I think with most PL clubs (United/City mainly) they just over pay in order to get their target.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Overpaying to get a target is usually what inflates the market.
It gives other clubs the opportunity to say "well if player x was sold for x amount then my player costs 9800 gazillion"

Yes, but when a few clubs are after x player, unless the player prefer a specific club a bidding war will take place and eventually one will overpay.

Don't think there was any bidding war for Martial for example. It was an unexpected transfer out of nowhere.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
I don't see a bidding war happening for Morata, i personally think most of the teams being linked is an attempt by Spanish media to create or believe there is bidding war for Morata.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Yes, that's true, but perhaps they wanted to get their before any bidding or competition came for him. It reminds of Sane, as BM and RM were interested and City came and dropped whatever money Schalke asked for.
Keep in mind I'm not trying to defend the market, bidding wars or inflated transfer fees, but unfortunately this is how the market will go.

Gonna watch him trash Man United next season, when Sergio Romero is the best they can do for a goalie

I'm an old man, too. We should both start supporting Manchester United and silently weep together with all of their other fans imo

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
According to Di Marzio he had agreed a deal with Milan 8 mil net per season for 5 years.
After the final they will negotiate with us for the transfer. Their back up is Belotti and they are willing to pay 70mil + 10 + players for him lol.
Can't wait to get 80 mil for Morata then we sign Mbappe with like 30 mil this is gonna be the greatest Transfer ever made by Florentino what a hero

You're making it seem as if Morata is a Floro Flores level player

80 mil for James, 90 mil for Morata.... we can buy Mbappe and still have 40 mil left lol. Not to mention we don't have to sell in order to buy to begin with lol.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
I could see teams paying like 45-50m, which is absurd and then load up a bunch of not so easy bonuses making he fee 75-80m or something crazy.
I love the add ons we've been seeing. It seems like a win-win for both parties, it spreads th transfer cost necessarily beyond one window, mitigates the risk for the buying team and increases the return for a successful transfer.
A lot of teams could benefit from a Morata type striker even as the starter or in rotation. I think this Madrid team demonstrated that now more than ever, attacking depth in terms of quality is more important than ever when trying to compete for everything each year.
Morata is young with a ton of upside. It would hurt to see him at Milan but I like their project so it could be a good move for him.
