Freeza wrote:Betty La Fea wrote:Freeza wrote:He's the O.J. Simpson of rap
That was always the craziest thing to me as a kid.
It was no secret in America that OJ absolutely HATED other black people, yet black folks were so happy when he got off. Buddha knows I felt the pain they felt about the system(it screwed my family just as bad), but OJ was a sucker. The worst of humans on the inside.
I loved him as a kid. Then I started reading up on him
Naked Gun movies are still GOAT though. Better as films than any music album.
My dad was a student at USC(OJ Simpson's college) during the trial. When my sister and I would visit him on campus our grandmother told us never to say OJ Simpson's name aloud. . He was like the boogieman.
Never saw his films, but my grandfather, like every other football fan in the 70's loved him. Said he ran like nobody he ever saw.

Well, he's still a top 10 all time RB. Seen his highlights and very few games. Incredible player. First to break 2k yards which was unheard of.
Have you seriously not seen The Naked Gun films? Leslie Nielsen is incredible and those are his best works imo. Prefer them over Airplane.

My grandparents were/are hardcore christians whose daughter got pregnant twice as a teenager....I was lucky there was still a TV in the house
There was going to be no watching of anything with Naked or gun in the title.

In Danish it's called High Gun Handling (Høj Pistolføring).
But yeah, I can understand why your grandparent would be like that. Not the best title for a completely harmless film

Does OJ kill anybody in the film?

I'm gonna make a longer post in NBA thread about how Kyrie is actually a misunderstood genius.
brother I said I used him as an example.
I don't condone everything he says, I don't agree with everything he says. He doesn't have all the answers, I don't have all the answers, no one single person has all the answers, but his beat is on the right track.
pls really take into account and really think (critically - back and forth) about the earthly concerns and our progression as spirits that I talked about.
EDIT: and language as well

that's obviously just pure wrong.
He did go on to say that after a while it becomes a choice. And he was referring to current day mental imprisonment - that was his main point. His phrasing in the beginning with the whole 400 years of slavery was just wrong.

current day disenfranchisement, being a choice, is even more wrong than claiming slavery in the past was a choice.
if it is a choice, then why did his dark skinned mom die trying to get elective comestic surgery? Why did he go through great pains to make sure his kids were lighter(less African) than him? And why did he speak out when the leadership in this country ignored the dark skinned people drowning in the streets of this country? Was it those peoples choice too? To be black and poor in a city where they paid taxes to a government who didnt give two craps about them?

Where do you even get that stuff from? It's obvious that Kim loves black guys, she has been dating soloely black guys since her 20s ffs. You think Kim would let Kanye bleach their skin?

He thinks Kanye went for his wife because her skin is lighter and their kids would be whiter than he is. Immense reach.

Has nothing to do with bleaching.
Guys like Kanye, who doesnt like themselves, will use women like Kim to create kids who they feel look like what society places value in.
Thats why he, for his fashion line, made a concsious effort to promote light skin women.(https://www.thecut.com/2016/09/kanye-wests-yeezy-season-4-casting-call-was-a-nightmare.html)
He hates being black because his blackness was the cause of his problems. The fact he was disenfranchised. The fact his mom felt the need to go under the knife for vanity in her current state. The fact that the fashion world wouldnt accept him. Kim is very happy to play into it. Be his fetish to continue her brand.

its not an immense reach when you see the way rappers place light skin women in videos, promote them over black women, and then he does things like only want light skin women at his fashion casting calls.

Except Kanye had a fashion show exclusively with black models?

And then went to call a black women dirty and a whore when he married a woman's whose fame is exclusively built on the foundation of having sex with brandi's untalented little brother.
If you are going to argue that kanye, and by default the hip hop community, doesnt have issues with self hate and towards black women then that is simply one argument you wont win.

That's a very perplexed, fantastical, psychologically incongruent discourse then.

This post looks like someone got a week behind on their word-of-the-day calendar and wanted to catch up in one sentence

I can't wait to see him as Lando in the new Star Wars
I also have tickets to see him in September for the tour he's doing, he's at the ACC, where the Raptors play which is huge, I remember seeing him at a much smaller venue for his because the internet tour and I just love the progress. I may not be able to go to the show because of school though
My favourite artist ever
