Liverpool v Tottenham
It is our duty to aid Leicester. Only three points will make me happy.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Liverpool have gotten the best of Tottenham too much recently while Liverpool was on the rise and Tottenham stagnating.
Now Tottenham is on the rise and Liverpool is, well, stagnating for this year at least.
Time for Tottenham to be Liverpool's bogey team again

Think Tottenham won't make it through this. At least a draw for Pool.
What's the status on Firmino? Need to know for fantasy reasons.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
I won't lie, I hope we can end Spurs title challenge today.
Given injuries, I'm expecting one of the following lineups today:
I would lean toward the latter, as Spurs' attacking midfielders will likely look to flood the middle of the pitch in front of our CBs. Playing Henderson, Allen, and Can in CM will hopefully allow us to counter those numbers.

Really pumped for this. I don't really like Spurs and would hate it for them to win the league.

Got nothing against Tottenham, but Leicester winning the league would be just amazing. Let's do this.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
He's such a peculiar player, Sakho is
He had a great backheel pass, followed that up by slipping like an idiot. Then wins a great header, and passes the ball straight to their player. Gets in a great tackle, dribbles forward slips again and gives them a counter attack, etc.
It's like Jekyll and Hide.
Lucky Lovren is playing well today

Ah, well, both teams had chances to win it, draw feels like the fair result.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Did you watch the second half? It was like he forgot that matches lasted 90 minutes. I suppose you're right, though. Under Klopp he's at least playing well for 45 minutes.Unique wrote:lovren is like a new player under klopp
Strangely enough, Sakho was the complete opposite. He was all over the place in the first half. He'd make one incredible pass, then concede possession cheaply on the next 2. He got back to his usual imperious self in the second half, which is fortunate considering Lovren's disappearance.
Can't help but feel that if Firmino was on the pitch yesterday, we win that match. We created the better chanced but simply could not finish them. Worryingly, Sturridge was at fault for at least one of the misses. Lallana, admittedly one of our best players over the past month, had one cleared off the line. However, if he had gotten any sort of real contact on it, Lloris is fishing it out of the net. Those chances fall to Firmino in his current form, and we likely walk away winners. As it was, Coutinho was about a foot away from putting us in front with a nice effort to Lloris' near post later on in the second half.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Lallana's positioning for most of the match, playing as SS, was peculiar. He seemed to go wherever Sturridge was going, like a shadow making the same exact runs. One instance where he actually made a run on his own, Sturridge dropped between the lines and Coutinho was able to score.
Firmino is really smart with his movement. One thing if we get Gotze would be less Lallana/Milner hopefully.

Lallana has been good recently, I'm all fine with him getting games. Also, I don't really fancy Götze. He's been a flop at Bayern and too many people are saying he's not greatly motivated.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Gotze just doesn't suit Bayern imo. He'd thrive in a counter attacking team where there's space. With Pep he plays out wide and he's just one of many players in a small area.

Your Agenda against Lovren is getting a bit much. At no point in the game was Lovren as poor as Sakho. Sakho alone could have cost us a few goals with how easily he was beaten and the massive, massive mistakes he was making. At no point was he 'back to his imperious self' (which he's never been at Liverpool anyway). We get very rare games where Sakho isn't making at least a few mistakes or creating very dangerous situations. Lovren has been, easily, our best CB under Klopp, and he's not even playing at 100% right now. Just look at how the team folded against Southampton when he was taken off at the half.
