They have a better squad than most of the other PL teams except for Man City, Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, us (debatable).. not to mention the fact that they are filled with experienced individuals so clearly the fault lies with the manager in not being to able to make the most out of team.
I really don't care, I hope they never sack him. Would be fun seeing them play in the Championship tbf

Well, that list has 6 teams. So Everton should finish 7th. There's really no reason to sack a coach for being 6 points from his target position with 9 games remaining and considering that it's really the same to finish 7th or 17th, as long as you are never close to being relegated.
Furthermore, I disagree that there are only 6 better squads than Everton. Leicester is obviously better with two stars like Mahrez and Kante; Stoke is also much better with frigging Imbula, Arnautovic, Shaqiri and the likes.... even Southampton with their great defence with players like Wanyama, Van Dijk, Forster...
Midtable premier league teams are really stacked, you should see that.

If you are never close to being relegated it is, really. You get the same reward: not going to Europe, not getting relegated. However, remove that sentence if you don't like it and the point still stands and no one has argued against it: you can't simply fire a manager for being 6 points away from the best position expected for his team with 9 games remaining.

Re: Roberto Martinez Sack Watch
I think that much is obvious that they should wait till the end of the season. Unless the point is to sack him now and appoint him as Newcastle manager in case they sack Mc

Re: Roberto Martinez Sack Watch
ok so I've been just googling the Everton club badge for reasons
Their motto is "Nothing but the best is enough"
I don't think Martinez' performance is living up to this tbh

Re: Roberto Martinez Sack Watch
Should be "nothing but the best bargain is enough", imo.
But yeah, it's starting to look like Martinez will be a little bit lucky if he's still in charge of Everton at the start of next season. Although they're in the FA cup semis, there is that.

But seriously, are you guys saying Everton are better than any of the teams they've got above them except West Brom?

It's finally happened. A pity, would have been nice if he had to face the fans in a home game one more time.

Re: Roberto Martinez Sack Watch
Just came to know that he was appointed Belgium's manager.
How did this fraud make his way up to managing the Belgium NT? Belgium are seemingly wasting their prime talent by appointing worthless managers.

They will likely win the league but certainly not because Martinez is coaching lol, this has long been established

How will you live it down when you lose a league to Roberto Martinez no matter the reasons?
Quite sad tbh.

Re: Roberto Martinez Sack Watch
It's a fantasy that we will win the league. He will be the first Barca manager in ages that will be sacked midseason. Valverde is a very good La Liga manager, has also proven it with Bilbao, won them the first title in more than 30 years (against MSN Barca), kept them at the top and they've regressed since he left them. Losing CL away games is Barca DNA rather than Valverde's fault. Usually it's the other way around, we first lose away then turn it around home. Unlucky that the return legs against Roma and Liverpool were away.
Martinez on the other hand reached what in his career? Record negative goal difference with Wigan + got them relegated + shocking results like 1-9 and 0-8, sacked at Everton after not even 3 seasons (only 6 points above relegation at some point, lost 2-5 to Dynamo Kiev in Europe) where Moyes was balling for more than 10 years. Worse than Tata Martino.
Plastic fanbase will deserve every bit of it though.
